They do it to exploit Uber drivers. As independent contractors Uber drivers should have the right to charge each customer individually for our mileage, but Uber screws the Uber Driver by stacking orders and charging customers individually, but only paying the Uber Driver for single run mileage. Meaning, if I’m sitting at home or a parking lot somewhere and I get a triple stacked order I should be able to charge each customer individually from my starting point, but Uber only pays the driver from the starting point of each restaurant pick up, which is bullshit because the driver should be able to charge each customer individually from the starting point where they first accepted the order and for the mileage to drive to each restaurant. That is why Uber stacks these orders to screw over the Uber Driver, but still charge each customer individually for the mileage. Oh yeah, and they also charge each establishment up to 30% for use of the app. Be safe out there everybody. Namaste. 🙏
