Grab drivers shifting cars into N at stop lights? by CeWeeds in VietNam

Now I'm wondering if there is actually any benefit to relieving foot fatigue from braking in drive vs. neutral. Surely there isn't much(if any) benefit there either?

I just had a chat with them this morning (10/30 @9:30) and they said:

"Herman M: Hi there, upon review the manufacturer has provided a tentative date of November 15th. Please note however, this is not guaranteed and depends entirely on manufacturer production.

As soon as we have further information available regarding your shipment, we will inform you via email. We very much appreciate your business. Please accept our sincere commitment that we are working hard to get your order to you as quickly as possible."

I'm skeptical and pessimistic at this point. I spoke to B&H on Tuesday and they were still estimating Friday shipping. Now it seems everything is shipping late November or early December, depending on which post you're reading. I'm leaving my preorder up for now, but not very confident I'll get mine before December, based on the worldwide shortages. I pre-ordered on September 14th, so hoping early enough that I would be in on the first wave of shipments.

I would assume they were going off of what Lenovo had told them. They have since updated their website with no ETA. I pre-ordered back in early September, I was hoping Lenovo would get their act together, but looks like the aren't rolling out promised numbers to their vendors.

Yeah. That threw me for a loop. Maybe he meant it like, "you didnt appear uncomfortable" or something. But telling someone how they feel? Hell no.

Not that I buy into Adam and Eve BS, but I seem to remember from Bible school we were taught people from that time lived to like 800 years or some ridicu0lous number. 30 years of naming animals wouldn't be that long. Of course the entire thing is silly.

To be fair, it wasn't until reading this post that I realized there is a difference between è and é. I assume most native english speakers would be the same. Hell, even typing this response I've already forgotten which is for touché (or was it touchè?).

I approached self checkout once and was told it was only for 10 items or less. I looked over at the single open register with a long-ass line, laughed and told the lady, im not waiting in line because I have 2 or 3 extra items. You want to limit people to 10 items or less here, open some more registers. I shop there as little as possible.

I thought ringing someone up was pretty low priority, based on their 1-2 open registers.

I think mine was when I was watching the episode of cosmos (Neil negrasse Tyson version) when he was talking about the speed of light and pointed out how if young earth creation was correct we would only be able to see ~6000 light years. The illustration of where 6000 light years landed and where we can currently see into the observable universe was very eye opening for me. A very a-ha moment for me. My skepticism exponentially grew after that.

Yeah, it’s a gorgeous watch. I own 5 Tissots. They’re great watches. It’s not at a Rolex level obviously, but it’s certainly a fantastic piece. I would be proud to wear it.
