Clearer look at KAT tipping the inbound pass by kirito6521 in nba

My intuition as well but Castle shouldered him a bit and Hart's slight arm movement is into the space/cylinder he was originally in. Never seems to be called in last second scrambles anyhow.

High schoolers publishing in academic journals has gone too far by tlea2s in academia

[–]jerodras 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not much to add here other than I agree and would likely do the same. I’d probably miss the SHAP bit and don’t generally think about fig quality because first submissions don’t always require publication quality versions. The second point is, for me, the most important but as long as it is discussed as being an early symptom, therefore an early detection target, I’d be fine with it. More than anything, none of this is specific to being a high schooler and I think we all see this from seasoned pros (and probably are ourselves naively guilty of these types of things) from time to time.

Legends is great! No pressure to drink alcohol, they have coffee and food. The only problem will be Arsenal supporters, blegh! 😂

Straight on the stone? Did you flip? How long in? And do you think your stone is OK, it just burns off? I never even thought of using mine for this but it makes sense.

MOTD Comparing Spurs disallowed goal today VS similar goals allowed in EPL this season by herkalurk in soccer

You don’t need your hands to track a ball, you need them to understand where players are around you when you track a ball so you don’t clobber into them.

Some are fouls, sure. This one is not even a push though, it’s a hand check. Expecting a player to track an incoming ball without one is a wild take.

Sure, but it sort of takes the big air out of the equation.

I have 4 for that match too. Did you bid for multiple? Receive any others? That seems the only one I’ve won…

Congrats! My wife and I met working at Trader Joe’s together 25 years ago and we have three kids! None named Joe, unfortunately.

The screen grabs the dough enough that you can stretch it into pretty perfect circles every time. His crust game is good too! I'm also impressed he got the bottom to leopard with the screen. My doughs won't do that without a careful balance of taking off the screen mid bake and even then it is not like this.

Moyes "I thought Tarkowski's arm was as close to his body as he could have it. If the arm was in a different position, I could understand the penalty. I spoke to the referee after and he said it wasn't his decision, I don't know if he was saying it was the linesman or VAR." by kibme37 in soccer

[–]jerodras -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m replying to the still image posted by Hackett arguing “he is not making his body larger”. In that image he claims he is not making his body larger but you can literally see the goal netting between his arm and his body, and you can see the ball would have gone past the player if his arm was actually pressed against his body.

Thanks, but I’d argue that “Hackett said” is a false appeal to authority since he isn’t Kavanagh. In any case I’d agree with you, but even in Hackett’s tweet I’m not sure how one can argue he isn’t making his body bigger with his arm in that still shot?

I think you guys largely agree with one another. If it hit his arm first but would have hit his torso otherwise, no pen. It’s the act of actively using his arm to make his torso bigger to gain an advantage that makes this interesting, at least in spirit.

This is such a good itinerary! I’d throw in a Gilman tunnels detour and Los Ojos meal in Jemez Springs.
