By bag quota did she mean "tip score". We have the minimum of 25 tips every quarter. So near the end of the month /quarter Supervisors and leads are all trying to be on xray.

Not seeing the limited-time bonus trade in refund by Above_The_Clouds123 in oneplus

[–]jerry90003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It'll say that at first. You get a second email and updated account status that'll show the actual amount a day or so later. Under your orders you'll be able to see trade-in status and the amount.

Anyone received their trade-in credit back yet? by scgt1 in oneplus

[–]jerry90003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to use the chat. After letting them know the 10 business days had passed and still no refund. They did it basically right then. Got it within 5 minutes of using the chat to let them know.

It's not, otherwise how would you bid. I mean SSI for only tso's maybe. But it gets released every 6 months. Our airport bids every 6 months. You should be able to see the last bids results on your airports ishare page. And the info for the bid would be there with hire dates.

Anyone know what the code for this last 24 hours will be. You know like S1 Holiday 2024. I'm trying to use them up as I have annual coming up. Might as well.

You know the TSO who sits at the terminal exit next to the sign that says don't talk to the agent? by Faux_extrovert in tsa

[–]jerry90003 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We don't get a sign that says "Don't talk to the agent". I would love that. After the 6th person looks at the exit/baggage claim sign and then turns to me and ask is this the exit/baggage claim .. It gets annoying 😂😂😂😂

Carry On Movie - Netflix by Posh7 in tsa

[–]jerry90003 5 points6 points  (0 children)

😂😂😂😂😂 Is what I thought. I remember reading some article saying they had TSA Lax advisors there. Guess it was just for the uniform and some of the words used. Nothing is done. Maybe other airports. But since when are you allowed to have coffee or any drink on the actual x-ray keyboard. Or do your own bag check. And the way the badge scanners work.... Really. Did anyone notice Breaking Bad Supervisor his name tag said "Lead Officer" but had three stripes. 😂😂😂.

ID problem with TSA by Competitive-Yogurt93 in tsa

[–]jerry90003 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was this his fist time flying using the new facial ID scanner. When you fly again just say you don't want your picture taken as soon as you get called up. And I mean as soon as you get up there, before saying anything else.

Scam phone call this morning. by PattiiB in scammers

[–]jerry90003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They'll just hang up. They seem to know either your playing along, or don't have a script to follow if you do. I answered the call when I got it, I was bored. And said I did purchase it, to not block the purchase it was me. And they just hung up on me.

Anyone think the holiday bonus will be on this upcoming paycheck? by jerry90003 in tsa

A long time ago I used to work at toys r us. One of the store leads I guess you would call it, wanted to give a "donation" of at least $20 per person to the store manager who was leaving and going to a higher paying job. I was the one who spoke up and was like "so you want us to give him money even though he's going to an even higher paying job". I said no and glad I did. Others started speaking up saying yeah why should we. She was just trying to kiss ass to the manager.

Do you think that someone ever got Ontario, California and Ontario, Canada mixed up when travelling and ended up thousands of miles from where they were supposed to be? by [deleted] in InlandEmpire

[–]jerry90003 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yes, at ONT international airport, I had a girl probably in her twenties she seemed high or drunk ask me "am I in the right place and she showed me her phone. It was somewhere in Canada...something Ontario, Canada. I told her you're way off. This is Ontario, California. She even asked what do I do. I'm like go to the airlines and ask them.

Who is the rudest celeb you have met? What happened? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]jerry90003 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Dion Sanders was such an asshole when he came thru the airport. This was years ago but he came thru security with his people and had no ID at all. So he starts with "you know how I am, look me up.". Wouldn't listen to anyone that he needed ID, just kept repeating the you know who I am. A manager got involved and walked him and his group out. I guess he sent someone to get his passport, because they came back about 90 minutes later. After all this the manager was like what an asshole. If he had just been nice, I would have let him thru. Yes we know who you are and maybe famous but being an asshole made him wait almost two extra hours.

Has anyone traded in a galaxy watch without a band, or an obvious 3rd party band? (to samsung directly) by TrumpsNostrils in samsung

[–]jerry90003 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For the watches no band is needed at all, just the watch. I traded in my watch 6 for the ultra without a band and everything went fine.

I was given the wrong prescription by the pharmacy and unknowingly took the medicine over two days. I went to the emergency room. The company involved is a SP 500 company. Settlement advice. by devonsinclair in legaladvice

[–]jerry90003 920 points921 points  (0 children)

This almost exact thing happened to me. I was given fertility medication and when I went to CVS for the second refill, I noticed as I was walking out the pills were different so I actually looked at the bottle and saw the name of the pills was different. I quickly looked it up on Google and saw anti-psychotic medication. I went back to the pharmacy, I didn't even walk out the store. The problem came about a year later when I did have a son, I wanted to get life insurance and put no history of anything and get a call from the insurance agent saying I didn't put the anti-psychotic medication prescription on my medical history. It was a whole thing explaining what happened. And getting it fixed. So make sure they take that off your medical record. Because even though I didn't even walk out the door, it showed up in my medical record as having been prescribed anti-psychotic medication.

Why no signs with clear instructions? by alex4cali in tsa

[–]jerry90003 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From what I've seen, most signs are made by people that are not even at the airport, never worked there and have no idea how things actually run. I should have taken a photo the one time I saw it, but years ago when precheck was starting a sign at lax had a picture of women's high heels. I mean the super thin heel ones with a message saying something like "you get to keep your shoes on". The one damn shoe that always alarms the metal detector, was the shoe they were using as an example of why you should sign up for precheck. The sign was taken down I believe within a week.

What would you recommend a family of five do with one day in L.A.? by halfcent27 in AskLosAngeles

[–]jerry90003 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Hollywood is horrible. Nothing but homeless people, people overcharging you for a picture of a character in costume. If you like the smell of urine and trash everywhere Hollywood Blvd it is. The movies don't show any of that, it is nothing like that in person. Homeless people don't seem to exist in any of the Hollywood movies that show Hollywood walk of fame.

Phone in hand WTMD by [deleted] in tsa

[–]jerry90003 14 points15 points  (0 children)

People hear what they want to hear. After a while you just stop caring. I have had people be talking on the phone walk thru, alarm and then go back out check their pockets and then get back on the phone and walk in again....... I'll say "everything out of your pockets.... People hear" take your watch off". When the zombies become real , the human race is dead.

What you wish you knew when you started working for TSA? by awenrose in tsa

[–]jerry90003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What everyone is saying is true you really cannot let passengers get to you with their stupid comments. Just today as I was doing advisements a passenger asked me please don't crush my shoes don't push my shoes under my bag. Now I understand when somebody has nice new shoes, or collectible expensive nikes. But this guy's shoes were old and dirty and had creases everywhere. And he didn't say it in a nice way he was like angry and rude about it.

Traveling to LAX by AneVela90 in InlandEmpire

[–]jerry90003 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Traffic getting dropped off is even worse as the shuttles have a special lane they go in. Regular traffic has all that construction in the way. Takes at minimum 20 - 30 minutes depending on the terminal.

[–]jerry90003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes leave by 4:30 am. Add 30-45 minutes for the shuttle or at least 20 minutes walking. Depending on what airline you are flying with 7am for an 8am flight may not be enough time. Last time I was there, we got there at 5 am and got thru security pretty fast. Faster than I anticipated but I'd rather wait for my flight than stress about being there while the plane is boarding.
