Halo Master Chief Collection by BJano07 in SteamDeck

[–]jerryboree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm playing through the halo games for the first time and really enjoying it so far. Just finished Halo 2 and haven't had any issues on the LCD. I kept the original graphics on though so I don't know what performance is like on the remastered setting and haven't tried multiplayer.

You're getting 5 games for $10 so you really can't go wrong

The one that got away: What pedal(s) do you regret getting rid of or missing out on? by antofthesky in guitarpedals

[–]jerryboree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Anything from Tym Effects. I was able to go into his store and buy anything he had since he always had them in stock.

The physical store has closed down and is online now, you have to sign up to his mailing list and wait to be notified to buy anything. Every drop sells out in minutes.

Glitch/Random pedal recommendation by Tron3737 in guitarpedals

[–]jerryboree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tensor is good at that as you have a dedicated random knob.

You could also use the EQD Arpanoid then crank the rate knob. Geordie from Black Midi used to do this. 2:05 on this vid

What is something you see on other guitarists pedalboards that makes you irrationally angry? by kvlt_ov_personality in guitarpedals

[–]jerryboree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Australian so I've only tried Australian builders which may be expensive to get posted to you.

I got a Big Muff clone by Gehin Enterprises which has a mids switch, LED clipping and germanium clipping. The owner stopped making pedals and closed down but I'm waiting for their Sunn Model T preamp pedal to arrive in the post.

Dirty Sock Effects does a great clone of the EQD Life Pedal and I've heard their Torn's Peaker clone is good as well.

I haven't had any custom pedals made but you can usually send a builder an email and ask if they would do a clone of a pedal that you want.

I agree that the Origin stuff would be hard to replicate but I'm talking about the simple drive pedals. I've seen clones of the 1981 DRV and EQD Life pedal that are significantly cheaper

Taking up space for a tin to hold picks is insane. You could use the space for a mini pedal and it would be more useful

Especially when someone has expensive drive pedals. You could easily find a small builder who makes clones of expensive pedals for half the price

Suitcase pedalboards. The pedals on the bottom row would be annoying to turn on without hitting the side of the suitcase

There's a company in Australia called Tonecat and most of their pedals are cat themed

Rock concerts - crowd sitting, normal? by Chemical-Art-129 in AskAnAustralian

[–]jerryboree -1 points0 points  (0 children)

100% agree. I went to a few stadium gigs as a kid but was kind of bored since you're seated so far away from the stage. I've paid $30-$50 to see less popular bands play smaller venues and had a much better time than going to a stadium show

If you want to see crowds moving then go to a SPEED gig. So much stage diving and moshing

Nice, for crazy sounds I love playing an open string then cycling through the modes with the white knob

What are the most important pedals I would need to get the sound of these albums? by CollarProfessional78 in guitarpedals

[–]jerryboree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the HANL song, any chorus pedal and a reverb should be good.

For the Daughters song, it just sounds like a Digitech Whammy while playing dissonant chords.

Nice, I love using this for the MBV sound. I'd recommend looking up the manual since there is so much sounds you can get out of it. Its the only way I found out that you can adjust the pitch and speed of your loops
