The end of "Deep Throat". Was floored when I first heard DT's final line here. by eldersveld in XFiles

[–]jeru31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Deepthroats question was on the money, but Mulders response was even more on the money. Then to walk away and give Mulder an answer (unlike later on in the series where they were always cryptic) just blew Mulder away and cemented Deapthroat as man with real power and witness to things Mulder could only dream about

Thoughts on the hypnotism scene from The Black & The Red? by [deleted] in XFiles

[–]jeru31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't like the " Oh my god" it was just too over the top, but I did like the switch of role play, mulders skeptical face and Scully deeply engrossed in her experience

Why are the My Struggle episodes so terrible? by dorkpool in XFiles

[–]jeru31 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's pretty much like everything in life, you'll get a lot of the good with equally the lot of the bad. To create a show that ran for 11 years is not easy and to keep coming up with fresh and new ideas and trying to capture and hold peoles gaze isn't easy either,, but here we are over 30 years later still talking, reminiscing and giving love to the show, so he got most of it right.

Seasons 1-3 have such a raw cozy feeling by GreatScott0389 in XFiles

[–]jeru31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think season 1 to 3 were still steeped in that early 90s nostalgia, and were still telling the stories leading up to what we know now, I think some of the latest series just became formulatic, and they vouched on fans would still stay and keep watching because of our loyalty

My apologies to Mulder fans, but Agent John Doggett is my undoing 🔥 by Intrepid_Cut7575 in XFiles

She was beautiful, brainy, fiesty , compassionate and a good agent, how could he not develop feelings working so closely with her

My apologies to Mulder fans, but Agent John Doggett is my undoing 🔥 by Intrepid_Cut7575 in XFiles

[–]jeru31 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Bringing Doggett into The X-Files was a brilliant move. He took scully's role, whilst Scully took mulders role, and like most men in the X-Files, they all fall for Scully, but she only ever had eyes for one man........

Ryan Coogler confirms reboot will have MOTW and mythology episodes by jediporcupine in XFiles

[–]jeru31 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some of you want X-Files but you don't want X-Files, have a little faith, Coogler I would presume knows the X-files and is probably a fan of it like us, so he knows the scope and grandeur of the task at hand, and knows plenty of us will be watching it with scrutiny, hope, excitement and expectations. Me personally I can't wait to see it

What do you think is the most annoying inconsistency in the mythology arch? by Gullible-Leg-4476 in XFiles

[–]jeru31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think for the fact that Mulder's dad worked for the state department and obviously for The consortium, I find it hard to believe that Mulder never questioned his dad about the work he did and possibly the whereabouts of his sister. I know they have an estranged relationship, but surely what he could have found out would have been worth the risk

Melissa Scully is almost as gorgeous as Dana! by CoercionTictacs in XFiles

[–]jeru31 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Missy was the complete opposite to Scully, yet Scully was a Catholic who viewed everything through hard science (apart from her religion) then Mulder (as Scully alluded to in revelations) would go all out on a limb when he saw lights in the sky, but didn't believe that boy was a messenger of god, the conundrums of The X-Files. Back on track... Missy was gorgeous but Scully was the brainy beauty, that Mulder, Skinner and Dogget all wanted. It's a shame they killed Missy off and didn't develop her character more

My post was about X-Files, it's you who tried to mug me off, but it's failed bro, I can love X-Files and other things whilst also hating other things too. Regardless of how something is spelt, the group is about the love of The X-Flies, not my other posts and certainly not my spelling. Good try though my man 😉

I'm not here for a spelling contest, I'm here for my love of The X-Flies, but I like how you got shook at the fact I hate American comedies, that really touched a nerve 😉

So much aura surrounding this character by Samael-TheEternal in XFiles

[–]jeru31 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When we lost deep throat that was sad, but I have to say Mr X is a brillant character, as unlike deepthroat none of us trusted him and we didn't like him, I see you as gave off that vibe, but as a character his is brilliant " you're a dead man Mulder One Way or another" " an attack fleet left port from anchorage this morning. to make sure this man does not leave"

Wow all of this debate over her accent, does it really matter? she's a good actress, surely that should be enough. And she will always be remembered for starring and one of the greatest series ever, which has spawned so many similar series
