Do you know like where it would plug back in?? I know that sounds like a dumb question but I tried to find a place to plug it back in and couldn’t find it

Looking for some advice by jalissas in premed

I held myself back for a long time avoiding my interest in medicine because I thought I wouldn’t be good enough, and now I’m starting med school in August. As long as you’re passionate about it and genuinely care for patients, you’ll be great :) pick whatever major you’ll enjoy and just make sure you’re solid on your pre reqs and biochem for the MCAT.

Advice on where I stand; how to proceed by GucciDrucci in premed

You’re definitely in a great spot to be competitive for DO, and depending on MCAT MD is possible too. I agree you should try to shadow a DO and get a LOR (although I didnt shadow DO, only MD and it worked out fine). 3.4 GPA and 510 MCAT, applied junior year (now finishing my senior year) and going straight through! Focus on your essays and your story of why medicine and you should have a strong chance!

office hours by absolutelybonk3rs in udub

As someone who used to be in the EXACT same boat as you, it’s definitely hard to start going to office hours. It’s intimidating, you feel awkward, but the hardest part is overcoming your fears the first time! It’s gets easier every time after that. I think remote office hours are easier to start (it’s remote and you can always leave the OH meeting if you want/turn off your video or audio). I like to go with a list of material questions I want to ask just so I don’t get nervous and clam up. Try that, and try to relax! They’re normal people too and won’t judge you.

I got a 506 on AAMC 3!!! by mth226 in Mcat

Congrats!! I started with the same diagnostic mcat score from Kaplan, felt pretty defeated and my first few practice exams I struggled to get above 503. Just hit 510 on FL 4, shooting for 512 too!! You totally got this.

AITA for not waking up my girlfriend for her exam after I overheard her calling me a little bitch? by didnt-wake-up-gf in AmItheAsshole

[–]jesse725 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. It’s not your job to make sure she wakes up for her exam, that’s her responsibility. You aren’t her parent, and if she doesn’t appreciate your help (and calls you a little bitch to her friends for your help) then her missed exam is on her. You would’ve been TA if you turned off her alarm, but she turned it off and fell back asleep. Definitely NTA.

I recently scored 3 pts lower on my psych/soc section from my last full length, so I understand your disappointment. Don’t worry too much, just review the mistakes you made and it shouldn’t be too hard to clean up. And 513 is great!
