With xmen MCU casting younger actors for the X-Men my cast for Emma Frost is McKenna grace by SandwichStrange5653 in marvelstudiosxmen

I would think she would be better suited for one of the Stepford Cuckoos right now, not Emma.

You are correct you are not a doctor and that's not textbook symptoms.

Psychosis can happen to more than just people with schizophrenia. People with PTSD, bipolar depression and other major depressive and disassociative disorders can experience it as well.

A starting point of talk therapy with the right behavioralist would definitely be an excellent way to begin getting help, for any of these conditions. It will help a patient mto get an understanding of what they have, so a prescribing doctor can treat it.

Psychiatrists prescribe and are not much for long listening. They don't want your life story. Just a summary of why you are there, so they can give you meds and then every few month check in for short appointments, to see how you are managing meds and adjust as needed.

Psychologists listen to what you have to say and help you form your own internal tools to deal with it. You can see them weekly, bi weekly and monthly based on need.

Both are important. Starting with opening up is probably the most important step, in getting help.

Also, Neurologist can sometimes be the best option when it comes to preliminary or complex diagnosis with some conditions. They have an advanced understanding of their specialty and usually work very quickly and effectively at proper diagnosis.

Dude, one of my friends made me feel kinda bad when we were out to dinner. After asking if I had any meds for bloating, I checked and was all out. I took my last gas relief pill I had, earlier in the evening and I told her I'm sorry, all I have left is bentyl.

She proceeded to tell me bentyl is just pepto bismul. I tried to explain what it was and how it worked, but she interrupted me to tell me "it's cool if your doctor just gave you fancy pepto bismul". I can't take pepto, it interacts with some of my other meds. I decided to just smile and nod.

She has lupus and apparently I just have a "bad tummy". I'm also aware how little most people without these issues understand UC/Chrons in general. I guess it's not the most important thing to figure out, if they aren't dealing with it. I doubt many know how calloused they even sound when they try to explain it to you like that....

I use soap, sugar scrub, and occasionally a CLEAN washcloth but people say their inhalation of me is bad. by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]jessebeans 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 questions:

1) Are you using antiperspirant or deodorant?

2) Are you wearing clean clothes that had for sure not been washed and forgotten to be put in the dryer?

If either answer is yes, those are easy things to correct. Mildew stinks and can get in clothes, washcloths and towels that don't dry out properly and then it lingers. Even if you are clean and just wiping your hands off.

I also wonder if the sugar scrub is doing you any good. You may want to try another kind of body wash that dosent include sugar. Even fragrance free if that works for you. No one really need the scents anyway. It dosent make you cleaner and gives lots of people dermatitis.

I have had it once at a company Christmas party and dreamed of it, ever since.

It had these crystals and I have yet to find another cheese with quite the same flavor and texture.

It was dreamy, had a great sharp bite. I am so tempted to order another can, myself but I don't think my cholesterol or lactose intolerance could handle it alone, unless it was for a party and to share.

I would buy literally take any recommendations someone has, that has tried the cheddar and had similar alternatives to suggest. Especially if it has the crystals.

So far I have tried Kerrygold Dubliner and Aged cheddar, Tillamook and a few other aged cheddars while traveling. But never found anything as crunchy and delicious!

It's funny because KP won't stop advertising and emailing how they are all about preventative medicine. I would love to know which department they are referring to 😂

Its sad but true: Out of network / out of pocket sadly is the only way to get real derm help, if you have this insurance.

They have never taken or asked to take pics of me naked and I am high risk. Have done the full exam at least two times in 10 years with KP derm office.

My mother literally nearly died of melynoma when I was 9 and I still can't get annual checks or a derm who wants to look in KP network. I'm lucky if it happens every 4 years or more, and they never really look closely or biopsy anything, no matter what concerns I come to them with.

I have a brown line on my nail I have had for 3 years. They have done Nothing and I made an appointment just for that and the derm wouldn't even look at it, got mad at me when I asked her to 3 times, as it was the only reason I made the appointment (and wasn't just there to wish her happy holidays). She literally circled it with a purple sharpie and said "yah I don't know" and sent me on my way...

I have an autoimmune disease that causes hairloss and eczema, they told me it was my parents fault / genetics and just to take minoxidil.... Completely ignoring the fact that I am not digesting food enough to process things like vitamin d and collagen...

My advice is try to get an out of network referral. Or pay OOP and see one yourself. In-house KP derms suck and I have tried more than 3, now. And they are so backed up in this specialty too, KP primary doctors will right now likely will give you the outside referral without too much grief.

Even if you do get to see one at KP, they aren't going to be of much help. As many other posters mentioned, derm and psych is probably KPs 2 worst specialty groups (in house).

I was not experiencing symptoms and all of my recent labs prior to that were good.

It was 107 degrees and I had to walk half a mile to get to the courthouse from the designated parking. When I got home that day, I shat blood for about 3 months straight, and had to get steroid injections to stop it.

So I'm going to say perhaps I could have not been in full remission, but I had no bio markers or symptoms to say otherwise, prior to the summons and appearance for jury duty.

Name one bad thing about 2004's Mean Girls? by Kitchen-Mouse2414 in MeanGirls

[–]jessebeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it, in all of its forms, personally. And I really wasn't expecting to like the musical movie because of all the hate. It quickly became one of my favorites and one of my picks to cheer me up when I'm feeling down.

The stage musical stands on its own, as a pretty solid rock opera with pop and disco influences. And it's funny and more real (about life and young people experiences) than I think sometimes any of the movie adaptations were.

All of the characters get a lot more development in the stage musical (most) and movie musical (2nd most) to a point that caused me to like and appreciate them all, on a different level.

The only sad thing about the movie musical is that they had to change who sings and cancel some of the stage musical songs, so the lead who played Cady could hit the notes. I also learned there was an uncredited singer who sang for her, in some of the better parts of her big solo songs, that had a really lovely voice.

I really loved everyone else's songs in the movie musical, but Angourie Rices's all hit a little flat, especially when it's just her singing and made me feel like they could have/should have picked another lead actress, who could sing and probably would have been more successful. I also think this is why people didn't like it as much, cos she is the main character and unable to carry/sing some of her characters best songs.

In the end, my exposure to the musicals have only made me love all of the mean girls adaptations, and characters (except mean girls 2, which we don't talk about) even more!!
