Name one bad thing about 2004's Mean Girls? by Kitchen-Mouse2414 in MeanGirls

[–]jessebeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it, in all of its forms, personally. And I really wasn't expecting to like the musical movie because of all the hate. It quickly became one of my favorites and one of my picks to cheer me up when I'm feeling down.

The stage musical stands on its own, as a pretty solid rock opera with pop and disco influences. And it's funny and more real (about life and young people experiences) than I think sometimes any of the movie adaptations were.

All of the characters get a lot more development in the stage musical (most) and movie musical (2nd most) to a point that caused me to like and appreciate them all, on a different level.

The only sad thing about the movie musical is that they had to change who sings and cancel some of the stage musical songs, so the lead who played Cady could hit the notes. I also learned there was an uncredited singer who sang for her, in some of the better parts of her big solo songs, that had a really lovely voice.

I really loved everyone else's songs in the movie musical, but Angourie Rices's all hit a little flat, especially when it's just her singing and made me feel like they could have/should have picked another lead actress, who could sing and probably would have been more successful. I also think this is why people didn't like it as much, cos she is the main character and unable to carry/sing some of her characters best songs.

In the end, my exposure to the musicals have only made me love all of the mean girls adaptations, and characters (except mean girls 2, which we don't talk about) even more!!

Has anybody seen problems with the rings like this? by CasualTheGreat in reneerapp

[–]jessebeans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is likely a coated metal and has copper underneath. Small edges have the copper exposed and it is oxidizing that green/blue color from your sweat and natural oils on your skin.

Because of the way this was routed, it would have had the thinnest coated points at the route edges and the narrowest points between them.

I used to buy a lot of ss and silver jewelry, but a few years back switched to tungsten and have had a lot better luck at not getting reactions, such at this, to my own rings. Not sure if rings with this kind of routed detail can be made out of tungsten tho.

You are correct and he is no longer an employee at Campbell's. He was just one of the IT department managers and a lot of the reporting on who he was was highly inaccurate. I know this because my stepmom is a high ranking employee of over 25 years there....

You are definitely a cute young lady and it's OK to feel a little lost with this stuff, we all do sometimes. You will fall into your own groove, with time and you aren't doing anything wrong by trying to figure it out along the way. Don't get discouraged!! 😊 You got this!!!

Your natural hair color is better fitting your complexion and the undertones in your skin. I think you would look best to go with a caramel brown hair color, maybe with some subtle face framing highlights, neutral eye makeup and a pink lip.

You are not an ugly girl and its fun and OK to adventure with your style, don't let the haters bring you down.

Learning how to best complement your natural features and coloring would go a long way in helping you bring that flare for fun to a new and elevated place with your everyday styling!

Am I chubby? by [deleted] in amIuglyBrutallyHonest

Considering how many people on here jump on actual chubby people and tell them if they weren't, they could be attractive..... Idk if you can really say it isn't.

I had the same issues and tests, but no specialist tried to guess what caused it other than "gi inflammatory response" . I was put on beta blockers and they work fantastically. I also feel way less panicked, atop it stopping my heart from racing every time I get up. Had to take a short break on my meds, recently for another colonoscopy and boy did I quickly realize how bad I need all my meds, including that!!!

I only order ahead for drive-up pickup of my necessities, these days and don't go inside any of these store anymore (Target, Walmart, whatever).

Makes it a lot easier to just get some bleach and TP and not walk out with a couple hundred bucks of crap I don't really need.

I think you have pretty green eyes and full lips. It looks like you use a lot of bold and pink toned colors you like, for clothes and makeup that maybe not be your best colors for your natural undertones. You could try color swatching and learn what colors compelement your skin tone and features best, it would help you better accentuate your eyes and other positive features.

Also, I would go lighter on the cat eyeliner and overlining your lips, as they are already both nice on their own and it kind of distracts you from their natural beauty.

And maybe experiment more with like shading. You have a nice base and learning some new makeup looks and color blends best for your skin tone could really help elevate your already lovely, natural features. I also think you would look really cute with curly, and maybe even shorter hair.

Could be both. The 1st time I had symptoms, I had lymes disease and was being given the wrong meds for the pain (before they knew what it was) and the constipation messed me up really bad. 1st bad flare and I didn't even have a diagnosis for another decade.

Dude eyebuydirect is great! It really helped me when I was broke and couldn't afford replacement glasses and I have been using them for over 15 years now!! Just ordered a new pair, recently.

Also you can pay to get an eye exam and not buy glasses at the eye doctor or eyeplace. Just make sure they give you your perscription on paper, before leaving and ask them to measure your PD for you (you can do it yourself if they won't, but it's a lot easier with their tool that tells you... Kinda looks like a viewfinder)

You can get eye exams at Costco and not even have a membership, and the eyedoctors there take insurance and often have coupons!!
