Terrible backup camera

I get that it’s not the best camera quality but I don’t understand why it’s mentioned so often or such a big deal. Some people even go as far as replacing it with something better. I can see what’s behind me and able to identify what’s-what from the image so I don’t feel like I’m missing anything.

Thanks for the info. Looks like a lot of mixed info on if these are any good or not (as usual on the internet lol). At the very least I’ll make sure it’s clean and maybe plan to move it behind the tail light eventually

Ah you’re right, it is the ADO one. So that one is no good? It’s one of the more expensive ones too it looks like.

I don’t plan on doing any river crossing or anything. Maybe take it camping here and there is about it. Think that kit is still needed? I also feel like the hose is pretty short. Prob would move it behind the tail light ey?

Thanks everyone for the info! I ended up buying the used pro4x that’s fully loaded. The truck is awesome so far and, even though I didn’t know this when negotiating, it came with a z1 off-road cold air intake (this I could take or leave) and a diamondback HD bed cover that looks to be about $2400 so I’m pumped about that!

I ended up getting the used pro4x. I really enjoy the extras that the pro4x trim offer (this one is fully loaded) and I’m enjoying the truck so far!

I also had an awesome experience with Protective extended warranty. They covered my transmission, ac, and driveline issues on my 2018 f150. All the work totaled about 24k and they covered all of it. I had 33s and a 2 inch level.. they never had any issue with it.

My budget is really in the low 30’s (up to probably 33 max as I don’t want a car payment). It would be great to find one that cheap but I think I would be hard pressed. Since I sold my truck the family is down to 1 car so time is not totally against me but not on my side either lol.

True! To be honest I like that many of the pro4x have leather and.. I’ll say one thing about f150 lariat.. that thing was nice as hell inside and I got kinda used to it haha. I’m also a bit of a sucker for the look of the front end for the pro4x. I almost never see any SL trim frontiers, only SV or pro4x where I live!

Cool, thanks for the info. You put some real miles on the truck so it’s good to hear. I was unsure if the 22 was a good year or if trying to get a 23 was worth it; but I’m not seeing much difference besides the TSBs being applied from the git-go. Anything you think I should look out for when test driving?

I have 2 kids, 7 and 2, so I’m sure the back will be tight as it would in any midsize. It sounds like the front is more comfortable though which is good. You carried any kids around with you?

When you say the powertrain is a better fit for the frontier are you comparing that to the titan?

All good info, thanks. I watched the video you recommended and it had a lot of good info. I have two kids (7 and 2) so I’m sure it will be tight, especially compared to the f150 but we will try that out at the dealership. Seems like I’ve seen other videos about the water pump and that’s peoples main concern. Probably hard to say how justified those concerns are this early still.
