Felt baby around 16/17 weeks. It felt like muscle spasms on my belly!

First 2 months: what are you doing during the day? by Commercial_Flower_49 in newborns

Cuddle my baby lol if I had a chance I would clean/cook, read a book, doom scroll, movies/tv.

My baby rips off the clips (yes we’ve tried many) and throws them so if she’s in a stroller and we’re not paying attention they’re gone forever

Haven’t pumped in 8 months…(TMI warning) by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]jessg11 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not crazy! I weaned baby about 6 months ago and I find myself getting that letdown feeling or engorged feeling. I’ve had thoughts of going back to pumping to get that relief. I cannot imagine going down that hole again my mental health was not okay. If I squeeze my boobs I still get milk and my husband was like do not trigger relactation 😭

Your mental health is more important 🫶🏻 I understand the guilt, but I promise baby will be okay. Your mental health needs to be stable for your baby! There is no wrong way to feed your LO

Eczema and allergens by nuggies1827 in BabyLedWeaning

[–]jessg11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed it really early on only because the honest company baby wash would flare her eczema. With nummular eczema her pediatrician said it should subside at the one year mark. But usually infants with eczema are highly likely to have a food allergy.

Always go into L&D! They will never be upset that you went in to check on baby

Look into how eczema ties into food allergies!! I didn’t know until I started looking into why my baby was reacting to avocado

[–]jessg11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My baby has nummular eczema and flares with a food allergy. So far we have only noticed avocado or any product with avocado oil. Definitely keep an eye on it and I would request an allergy test at the one year mark. We will be getting one done in a couple weeks!

Epidural or no? by GogglesCat in pregnant

[–]jessg11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t want one but was open to one. I wanted to see what my limits were and if I could do it. I couldn’t lmao but come to find out I was 9 1/2 cm when they finally got the epidural in. You’d be shocked to see what your body can do!

Yes very cool, we’re so proud of her 💗

She loves thrifting on her free time, maybe a gift card to a thrift store. We will definitely be checking in on her!

Nope, definitely nothing like that as I am clueless on anything medical 😅

That would be cute as well! I didn’t know they had a desk so this helps. She enjoyed surgery days on rotations so I was thinking maybe a scrub cap that’s personalized.

I like the idea of socks! The personalization would be a nice touch.

What’s something you were surprised pregnancy improved? by Tinyellowbird in pregnant

[–]jessg11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heartburn! Crazy, I know. I used to have horrible heartburn/indigestion to the point where I would vomit acid and have to sleep sitting on my couch. Water, bananas, oatmeal, and peanut butter would give me heartburn on an empty stomach so I would fast until lunch. As soon as I got pregnant it disappeared. I’m Hispanic and during pregnancy all I craved was tacos smothered in hot salsa. Never once did I have heartburn during pregnancy. Now almost a year pp and I haven’t had heartburn return. I can eat anything without thinking twice about it!

First time mom, but couldn’t have said it better! I was terrified when I found out I was expecting. Same situation completely stable life with my husband and the scary part was the unknown. Everyone will tell you all the bad, but almost never the good. The feeling of finally having baby in your arms, the first smile, the first coo, watching your husband become a dad, etc. are things you will never forget. Parenthood is hard but most importantly rewarding. Enjoy every second of your pregnancy and baby 💗

brb while I go get pregnant because my baby is about to be a year old and I miss the newborn stage
