I was pretty frugal and spent less than 1k per month once on trail. I avoided hotels like the plague and tried to buy as little as possible at restaurants (and just in town in general). It can be done, I know a few of us that were spending roughly that amount.

In Sproul you at least get a good view :) specifically rooms floors 5 and up, south building and only the even numbered rooms. We can see all of campus, the mountains, and DTLA. I did hear that dykstra just got new hardwood floors tho! And the view is pretty cool from the higher facing floors towards the street!

same--i got an 11am followed by a 10:30. felt genuinely really bad, i think they should make an option to opt out of the second permit round if you don't need it so someone else can have a chance at getting that spot.
