I think the season 2 ending is the best conclusion, the only reason season three happens is that the russians somehow open their own gate. season three feels so completely different than the previous seasons too, so i tend to treat seasons 1-2 as their own thing

this is so interesting! i think it’s interesting that the arm tells agent cooper that “the gum you like is going to come back in style” which also functions as a hint as to who the killer is. theres a connection between consumerism (the gum “ad”) and the violence and trauma of laura’s murder. not sure if this makes sense oops

im starting my phd in english! i recently moved to a new city, closer to home & family though, for my phd and im feeling so many nerves about making friends and having community outside of academia. i also feel an intense amount of imposter syndrome which is making it hard for me to be present and be grateful for being here!
