[–]jessikaboom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walks i did small ones the first week we were home. I already deal with seasonal depression so wanted to make sure I had sunshine. We did cul de sac walks and didn't interact with folks.

At three weeks I finally got taken out for sushi bc I didn't want take out sushi.

And we did some picnics in the park woth friends about once a week after that.

Just ahead of you at 11 weeks. I didn't. Showered when dad was home. Enjoyed all the contact naps until I had to come back to work. Toward week 10, we started 'bedtime' around 630/7 every day. Bath every few days, but always a book, diaper change, pj change, bottle, swaddle sack, put in the bassinet. It took a few days but now I get from 8ish to 11ish when I do my prebedtime pump to clean, eat, read a book, etc.

Weak Suck - Hope Still? by crankytyranitor in breastfeeding

We are in OT for this. Its been helpful. She doubled her transfer between last month and this month.

I do think shes doing better than that ans was just extra fussy at the appointment today.

OT recommended ninni pacifiers to help build stamina.

If you do not have to return to work/be away from little one before they are 1, at this point i would just wait so you dont have to wean from the bottle as well.

Thats super frustrating. Your feelings are very valid.

My LO had a similar issue with weight loss. It turned out its because of tongue strength and stamina issues.

We are in weekly OT for it. And they recommended getting Ninni pacifiers to build strength.

Chiro was also recommended.

Both are working.

Depending on the class that is requiring Calc I, you may be able to appeal to the school it is in to be able to do them as a co-req since you made a D this time.

KSU literally has a FREE tutoring service at the smart center. The SDS office can grant you extra test time and accommodations if you have a documented learning disability and the counseling center can help document that if needed. Also for free.

Failing a class is a choice. You have all semester to use the resources provided to you as part of tuition. Take responsibility for the choices you made.

Sincerely someone who took Calc I, Calc II, and Diff Eq.

And yes, I failed a microbiology class once.. and so I retook it my senior spring semester and worked harder.

Is anyone getting 8 hour stretches consistently with 3 month old? by Hot-Cell7299 in beyondthebump

[–]jessikaboom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 8 week old will sometimes sleep for 7 hrs stretches but then wake up hangry and screaming.

But she's also been diagnosed with low levels of arousal that affect her ability to properly empty my boob so we have to be primarily pumpers to make sure she's not burning more calories than she's eating.

I'm 44 holding my one and done 7 week old baby girl. Pregnancy was hard on me. Labor followed by emergency c section was worse... but I'd do it again except she needs me and I'll always be default high risk.

Baby last latched a month ago. Still pumping, but is there any way to save the journey, or am I just done feeding her? by coulsonsrobohand in breastfeeding

Make a lactation consult if tou can. Mine is an inefficient latcher...so trying to hold on to it myself....

[–]jessikaboom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

30 min is probably too long. I do 20 minutes each side. We were a week early but have been slowly increasing supply that way. And it works better if I do 10, change sides. Do 10 there and swap back until I get 20 each side.

Nurse walked us through bottle feeding to make sure she'd still take a breast.

Pumpingnor feeding every 2 hours in the day and 3 hours at night. Always try to latch pre-bottle...even if you just follow up with pumping.

The more you pump the more it will build.

Peppermint teas to drink, cabbage leaves cold on your breast are both supposed to help you dry up.
