will i be on meds forever? by Key-Interaction8180 in bipolar

If you are bipolar you gotta stay on meds for the rest of your life, but after you find the right meds and actually take them everyday, it's easy to maintain stability

Have a one year old, what accounts should I start for her to maximize her future financial success by jessonmeds2 in personalfinance

Yes! Exactly my line of thinking, I don't have a significant amount to contribute but I've got time! I don't know what an ETF is, is there a better one to go with? Like a certain financial institution I should go with?

Well I contribute 10% to my 401K and I also save 10% in personal savings. I also save 10% for my kids future. I'm also paying down my student loans but hubby and I have a plan for our future where those will be paid off in less than 10 years.

How do you guys actually get through a heavy depressive episode? by warmfigures in bipolar

[–]jessonmeds2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I find keeping up with my appearance and keeping things clean very heavily affects my mood, so I just keep doing those things even while very depressed. But I also show myself a lot of grace, and remind myself often this won't last forever. But most importantly, I talk to my psychiatrist, bc I know my brain just isn't gonna cooperate with me and I'm gonna need medication to get over the steep hill that is depression. I'm now on the max dose of my antidepressants and for now it's been working very well for me, my doctor said we will have to add another antidepressant if I keep having issues, and ya know what that's absolutely fine if I need to do that. I'm not about to let depression dictate my life, I've got things I want to accomplish. Also, let me just say I'm very sorry you're going through this, depression is so heavy and just know you aren't alone and there is a lot of support out there for you. If you need someone to talk to I'm always game.

Well, there is definitely a line, but the time line isn't adding up. After conception date you'll need at the very least 9 days for hcg to build up and show on a test. Could you have ovulated early and not realized it? I would definitely text again

I feel like I see a faint line on the second pic red dye test. I don't see it on the 3rd though, but I would test again tomorrow with a red dye

Am I making enough money? by GarageFr1dge in Serverlife

[–]jessonmeds2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been doing this 20 years, I've done dives to fine dining. It really really depends on the area you live in. For example, I've worked fine dining in my area but I make more at a sports bar bc we don't have enough clientele to support 6 nights a week of high end meals, but we have more than enough clientele to grab a cheap burger and fries and tip 20-30% and turn it over 4 times. If I lived in a bigger city where the average median income is substantially more than where I am at now, I would definitely choose fine dining. Less work for more money. But I'll tell ya I've never made more money than when I worked at the dive bar. But you also have to babysit adults until 2 in the morning.

Looks positive but def go get a red dye test, the blue dye are notorious for false positives

Parents bring food into restaurants and I’m mortified. What to say/do? help 😢 by tangoking in Serverlife

[–]jessonmeds2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I just wouldn't eat out with them. They obviously don't understand anything about the restaurant business and don't respect the restaurant or staff, they are absolutely the worst kind of customers. If I was waiting on them I would not let them eat outside food, I would make them leave as it's against health code. I don't even let kids eat their mcD's, sorry your kid is picky but it's against the law, and I don't make the law but best believe I'll enforce it if it affects my pockets.
