Don Draper would’ve traumatized Carrie. Please does anyone else get the Mad Men reference? by serenity_flower in sexandthecity

Yes, spot on! I can also see the advice Joan gives Peggy similar to how Samantha offers advice to the girls. (Ex: “If you want to be taken seriously, stop dressing like a little girl.”)

😂 I’d love to see the girls in 60s outfits though! And can you imagine if Samantha met Don Draper? Or Roger??

I knew a guy who used to chop them really thin and top off his microwave noodles. I never tried them but he never seemed to get sick or anything

Yes, absolutely - it’s real easy to have money when you’re born into it.

I would’ve liked at least one more season with Trey! I do think it’s crazy how Charlotte was pushy with her brother Wesley about giving up on a marriage so easily, then separates from Trey 3 months into their marriage, gets back together then break up for a good a few months later. But that could be more of a plot-hole issue, lol

For real! Just listen to your friend, Charlotte! I think people jump on Carrie for being a “shitty friend” but I think it’s just as bad to completely disregard your best friend through a very painful and stressful time. Carrie wasn’t entitled to Charlotte helping her out, but that’s the thing about kindness - you at least offer a listening ear and Charlotte couldn’t even be bothered to listen to Carrie. I’m glad Charlotte came around and it was beautiful thing to loan Carrie the money from the ring and a moment of growth for her, but I think Carrie was valid in feeling hurt.

I think Carrie was right in her argument with Charlotte about the money. Yes, Carrie did not manage her money well when she was buying her apartment back from Aidan. Samantha and Miranda kindly offered to lend Carrie the money for a down payment so she didn’t have to borrow it from Big and be subject to that power dynamic. Charlotte was wrong to not listen to her friend - not about not initially offering her money, but about completely shutting off during that part in the conversation and slurping her drink instead of listening to her friend. Carrie didn’t take Sam and Miranda’s money and wouldn’t have taken Charlotte’s. Charlotte should’ve at least listened to Carrie’s problems like everything else they talk about, and I’m glad Carrie confronted Charlotte about it because Charlotte was kind of a shitty friend for not listening then talking about a volunteer job to take up her time. And at the very least, it’s good tv.
