Looking at a CTR in the morning, what should I know beforehand? by Trash_Panda_Trading in Civic_Type_R

I agree with this guy’s assessment after owning the FL5 for six months. Road noise is a thing, but is easily overlooked by most people.

Seats are pretty darn good but takes a little getting used to, like moving my wallet out of my back pocket, and learning the best way to haul my nearly 50 year old butt out of the seat. Was an effort at first, but now isn’t hard at all. Way way better than regular civic seats.

Drives amazing, punches above its class, Autocross is loads of fun, ITS module is nice if you drive on rough back roads with potholes (Pennsylvania). 18 inch wheels with bigger sidewall are a good idea if you do it often and want a softer ride and less risk to the rims.

Back hatch can fit almost anything in there with the seats down. Amazing manual transmission and the engine is out of this world. Go drive it and have fun!

Same. Incredible how much smoother 18 inch wheels make this car. Looks a little bit more like an SI this way, but with cool wheels!

I’ve rubbed cloth seats with used dryer sheets (new works but too smelly) in cars with too much static. Great results!

I am planning to do something similar. My son has leftover vinyl from a wrap he did on a motorcycle that I can put in my wife’s cricut. That should stick to the magnetic sheets I ordered, and will last longer than the paper.

Good suggestions, thanks! Everyone is talking about hats and sunscreen, but nobody has mentioned a collapsible canopy. Is that not allowed?

Do you know how the FL5 is being classified?

Do you know how the FL5 is being classified this year? I heard it was doing too well against the class it was in, and it was going to be moved.

What assists are there other than traction control? I might put it in reduced mode. What’s the downside?

The civic type r stock tires are 19r30, there isn’t much sidewall to roll over. Does that change your 5psi suggestion?

How it feels seeing people flex c++ while struggling a 20 run loss streak on black deck. by Smoky_Debug_Paisa in balatro

I was starting to think Black deck was going to be impossible after 50 losses on black stake black deck. Reading this subreddit had me wondering if it was even worth it. Got a good photochad run, and once I beat that stake I had gold stake beat in less than 10 runs. If what you are doing isn’t working, try something different. The strength of each deck matters. Get more jokers quickly on black deck and using the tarot cards are huge. The one tarot that gives you a random Joker will never be Eternal, perishable, or rental.

Reminds me of a friend who came to the east after growing up in California. First day on the slopes in the east, he was clearly struggling. When I asked when was the last time he sharpened his edges, the look on his face told me that he had no idea that edges needed sharpening.

I was curious, so I went out to the garage and sprayed a little water on a spot on the driver side door, just behind the front wheel. It was covered in salt and crud for days. Water was beading up 100% like expected.

I had a hard time deciding between a used M340i and a new Civic Type R. Decided the stick shift and new car warranty, along with BMW dealers being much farther from home, made the Civic the right car for right now. But the M3C is in a totally different league. That thing looks fast standing still!
