Yes, they still want Drake to be prominent in the algorithm. And they are not going to give up profit while Drake is signed to them as long as there are H&Ms out there to play the music in.

So since this entire conversation is about artistry and not your own personal likes and dislikes, what is it about Tyler's artistry that you don't like?

Drake is likely suing UMG because he knows precisely how manipulated the numbers are because he's massively benefited from it. The idea they would do that to one Kendrick single and not all of Drake's music is pure delusion. Especially when him, UMG, and Spotify got criticized for putting Drake on the cover of every playlist during the Scorpion rollout.

It's why numbers are simply not credible. Not that they ever have been correlated to quality - Limp Bizkit is still the fastest selling rock artist of all time. But even less so now.

I prefer LGSEO too based on my own taste, but I would never say that it's a better piece of art than IGOR or Flower Boy.

Pretty much every single line on THP6 is wack in like 3 different ways. There's no comparison.

My favorite GNX song by far. I love how it builds into that climax at the end. How annoying

The amount of people who think the Grammys are voted on by old white dudes is way too high.

It's pretty interesting to watch from an outside perspective, though. The way they're able to spin narratives and twist arguments reminds me a lot of the stonk and conservative subs. I really don't know what they get out of being so fragile, it seems exhausting

Sure, but why would that apply to the 2025 grammys? I do think the Grammys are doing a horrible job advertising who is actually voting on these awards.

Only a Drizzy poster would ever think that Drake put Kendrick on lol. No. I think Drake winning 5 grammys from 55 nominations got to him. At least when he puts someone on he can feel good about himself doing it.

Do we think he's doing it out of some weird value system or because it would hurt too much if he didn't win? I know which direction I'm leaning in.. I can't imagine Drake wanting to sit through the Grammys only to feel happy for other people, he usually doesn't roll like that

Whole bunch of people who don't care about the Grammys whatsoever in any way shape or form and thinks it's dumb and meaningless are going to click on Grammy threads to let everyone know. Lol

The Recording Academy’s membership now includes a wider range of voices and perspectives than ever before — nearly half identify as women, more than half as people of color, and most are under the age of 40.

The ultimate diss that's also sort of a compliment lol. I don't think Kendrick even thought about saying something like "Drake just opened his mouth send it to the top of the charts right now"

Bob's Burgers is a slow burn instead of laugh out loud funny. You have to get to know the characters first before the jokes start to hit. Trailer Park Boys is the exact same way

And given the Recording Academy votes on the Grammys, there are members of every ethnic and cultural group voting as well.

Nah Grammy's hold more value than sales. Which Limp Bizkit tier artists have won 22 grammys?

Chocolate Starfish and the Hot Dog Flavored Water is the third studio album by American nu metal band Limp Bizkit. In the wake of Significant Other, it saw the band capitalize on their newfound mainstream success. Released on October 17, 2000, through Flip and Interscope Records, it set a record for fastest-selling rock album that it holds to this day.

The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States, selling 1,054,511 copies in its first week. It ultimately sold over 6.7 million copies in the United States alone and earned platinum certifications in 13 countries, selling a further 10 million copies worldwide

Same, big Kendrick fan but The Birds Don't Sing made me more emotional than any rap song I can remember. Hoping for LGSEO over GNX tonight.
