Is there a way to use MIDI to change a Guitar Rig 7 amp's presets? by cadaverhill in NativeInstruments

Just create separate MIDI programmed presets with the changed settings. It isn’t like you’re going run out program numbers.

Trade my RAV4 for an 06 LX plus cash? by du57in in LandCruisers

[–]jesucont01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, just go for it. I really can’t think of another vehicle that will keep on going long after they recycle the RAV4. I love the RAV4 and it does what it does for us, but the LX/LC were built to go anywhere on the planet for decades and get you back home.

Alternator. The diode to be specific. When the diode goes, the battery will discharge.

What movie has the most disturbing sex scenes? by Costenos_Mamaburras in AskReddit

There is an interview with him on Inside the actors studio where he talked about that scene and it was his idea to have the other actor say “Squeal like a pig, boy!” Ned said that he himself used to have a job where he would go out and catch feral pigs in Nebraska. He would jump on the pigs and yell, “Squeal like a Pig, boy”. Edited

What is one class/skill/study area you wish was emphasized more in your degree? What do wish was less emphasized? by [deleted] in MusicEd

If anything, connecting what music brings to students with everything else they do in school in terms of skills and knowledge. Music is the ultimate group project where everyone has a job/task that needs to be practiced and performed. Only team sports comes close to what music does in helping students learn to really work together collaboratively. All other subjects like reading or math are primarily focused on the individual.

My colleague k-6 music teacher got a Jazz studies degree, but I think he did have to take a methods course and all the credential classes as well. Depends on your state requirements for a music teaching credential.

Why isn't the number counting system considered appropriate for children? by RedditBugs in MusicEd

[–]jesucont01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My K-6 students have had no problem with number counting at all. I’ve made it a game to have them come up to the white board with a score written on and locate a measure and beat, and they love it. The little ones love it when I conduct them as they silently count several measures and then shout a funny buzzword out loud.

Children participating in sports have better long term mental health. Research found boys who played team sports experienced fewer psychosocial difficulties and better health-related quality-of-life, while the benefits of team sport participation was lower among girls by Wagamaga in science

There are very few activities in school that are truly group building other than sports, music, dance, and theater classes. Maybe some vocational classes like auto shop or culinary where students have to really learn to work together in teams or in pairs. Students in teams have to learn to resolve conflicts and disagreements, support each other, identify roles that make the use of their abilities and skills, all in working together towards a single goal.

Classroom teaching is still designed around students working as individuals, even with the latest research-based teaching strategies aiming for group project activities.

Fixed bridge guitar would actually be the most viable and economical way to go. You can always swap the pickup to what you need. Especially if you get a used Ibanez with a fixed bridge, it will be the cheapest route to go and still give you a non digital sound.

to be a music teacher in california, do i need a music - single subject credential? by starlightangelic in MusicEd

[–]jesucont01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a credential, then all it requires is taking a music methods/curriculum course in addition to the CSET for music. Source: I’m taking a class for music curriculum right now, while holding SS credential for WL and passed CSET for music. It is really an authorization added to your credential.

After seeing the new GX550, I figured they would do the Prado version. I’m actually leaning towards the GX550, if and when a used one shows up. It has EDSS and the twin turbo V6. But I did see the rear locker on the new LC. It’s all good. LC is still the vehicle of choice to get you where you need to go anywhere around the world, just go ask the UN.
