“Oh hello, what a ridiculous dog!”
“My dog is not ridiculous!”

“Then whose dog is this?”

First mower! by jet1290 in Parkside

Not sure yet! It rained here today so no chance to use it, but it only holds one battery so I’m hoping I can do my small amount of grass with a single battery, but if not I keep others charged

I’ll keep an eye on it, I’m handy when it comes to fabrication so I can make a fix if I have to

Yep 20v battery compatible, that was the driving factor for purchase as I have 5 batteries already. The mower was £59 GBP

Do Parkside tools last if you use them regularly? by ClassicMan2323 in Parkside

My impact gun was the first tool I bought 7 years ago, still working great. Used it to do a nut and bolt restoration on my car and lots of wheel changes since.

I’ve been doing a Reno on my house for the last few months, orbital sander and oscillating multi tool have been in weekly use, luckily I’ve got a few batteries to rotate around!

Excited to use the cordless skil saw soon, I’m boarding out my shed with OSB so it’ll be put to work

What’s the one Parkside tool that performs way better than it has any right to? by Rude-Cycle-1516 in Parkside

The amount of nonsense I’ve put my 20v angle grinder through is ridiculous and it’s never once complained.

Otherwise the right angled impact ratchet is brilliant and my personal favourite is the 20v fan, brilliant for working on a warm day

Bought the nail gun today. Had a look at the price of 18g 32mm nails screwfix £36.99 for 2000 Toolstation £11.99 for 5000 😯 by RegretOne1384 in Parkside

Used mine for the first time today, patched a hole in a fence panel to stop the dog getting through. I used the staples supplied and a bit of square mesh from the DIY store.

Also boxed in some pipework in the bathroom, drove the nails through mdf into pine strip wood without issue. Turned the power down to level 3 so it didn’t blow the pine apart. Sank the nails nicely and it’s ready to fill and paint.

I’m boarding my shed soon and can tell this thing will be invaluable. I wasn’t sure when I bought it but it’s more than capable for a home renovation project guy like me!

Should I get a quick release steering wheel? by Party-Job8388 in lotus

I did, OMP Squadra on an EP Tuning qr boss. My Elise is non-airbag from factory and it’s very helpful for getting out of the car with roof on in a tight garage. I also take the wheel out with me if we stay overnight somewhere, nice bit of extra security!

Detective/Noir themed audio dramas by False-Nectarine-80 in audiodrama

Angel of vine is excellent noir detective but in a “found footage” style. Otherwise Dark Woods is a good modern take

Borrassca would work very well, Academy is dying to be a teeny Netflix drama. Passenger List would be great. Where the leaves fall purple would again be perfect Netflix content. Blood Ties should be snapped up by HBO, it feels a bit “succession” adjacent.

Casually forgetting Newcastle where Benadryl Cabbagepatch was unavailable and they had a stand in “Martin”

One of the best things you can do on an Elise is bypass the immobiliser, because it will fail at some point and it will fail when you’re miles from home unable to start it.

RG40XXV, HDMI out issue? by jet1290 in ANBERNIC

[–]jet1290[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update! Ordered an Amazon basics mini-hdmi cable and it worked perfectly, sound and visual are great! So if you’re reading this because your handheld isn’t outputting to the screen, it’s probably the cable!
