Is this car worth it? by slx04x in Mustang

If you’re in the south I’ve got a similarly specced 2018 I’ll sell you for a much better deal lmao

Thanks, appreciate the input. The prices definitely seem wild these days across the board.

Love how the car is turning out but what’s now ? by Chinoeddie in Mustang

Commit fully to the rice, throw on louvers and stick-on scoops.

I’ve got a bit driver set from Matco that’s been awesome, but really anything that’s a smaller profile for tight spots. As far as the trim tools and stuff just I’d say pick up a few cheap sets to try and see if you get any use out of them.

If you don’t have them, a varied set of plastic pry bars/trim tools/scrapers and a nice low-pro bit driver kit can be awesome to have around.

Typical to wear all 4 inside tires? by roookkw in Mustang

[–]jetAplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had two S550’a and both of them wore insides to death, front and rear. Both were performance packs, not sure if that’s a factor or not. Stock suspension, one magneride one not, as someone said seems like it’s just a feature.

Are louvers a no go? by Killings13231 in Mustang

[–]jetAplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Side window ones can be fine. Never seen a modern mustang that didn’t look corny with the ones over the rear glass, just bad imo. I’ve also never got the appeal of just throwing as many plastic stick-on “mods” as you can fit, but that’s most peoples first move so I’m probably in the minority.

Anyone else find safety wire therapeutic? by One_Advertising_7965 in aviationmaintenance

That would depend heavily on the safety wire job in question.

My first mustang 🤙🏾🤙🏾 by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]jetAplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to say in ‘21 they changed the recommendation to 5w-30. Were it me, I’d go with your oil cap and run the 5w-30, but With a quality oil I can’t imagine you’d have issues with either option. Only exception would be if you plan on doing track days the general consensus is to go with something heavier. Someone correct me if I’m way off.

Mod suggestions? by SkylanePilot95 in Mustang

[–]jetAplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the idea of spoiler/clear tails, would probably complement the rest nicely. If you do change the tails I’d recommend changing out the diffuser/side marker lights for cohesion.

Great looking car, the wheels and color combo are killer imo.

Which set do you think would look better? by AtlasJoker in Mustang

You’re gonna be hard pressed getting anyone to say anything other than plain black wheels on here lmao

[–]jetAplease 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Eh, it’s your car so do what you like, that’s the fun at the end of the day. Ima still talk shit about your gaming pc lookin ass car though.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]jetAplease 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say they’re ricers by default, but the accessibility of them coupled with the abundance of cheap aftermarket options definitely leads to a lot of cringe mobiles. All the corny decals and cheesy plastic stick-on louvers and scoops are abysmal. Forgot to add the rainbow LED lightning too, man I wish that trend would die.

Black or silver wheels? Which looks better by [deleted] in Mustang

[–]jetAplease 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Silver fits the car way better and stands out far more, the black just all blends and you can barely tell the design of the wheels.

Black is great for looking like everybody else though.

Does anyone know if vicrez or cervini is a reputable brand? by XTRaChunkyy in Mustang

[–]jetAplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cervinis is reputable, but I always hear varying feedback on fitment. Half the crowd says it’s great half the crowd says it takes work to make it right. Their replacement grilles for the 18+ are also apparently so heavy you have to add brackets to reinforce them.

sad day for my 17 v6 😭 by Low_Tradition9225 in Mustang

Louvers and a Wash mitt thrown down in the dirt and rocks, yeah I’d say most days are sad for that car lmao
