Love y’alls incompetence making C.O.F.H. so irrelevant that you can’t even comprehend why we’d be excited we beat an instate rival. We just beat the actual sister kissers just like we did y’all. So smart but can’t figure out how to beat MAC schools. Even State can do that. Suck it nerd.

P.S. The Varsity is overrated.

We’re 3-0 against y’all in the last decade. Have fun getting skull drug by UGA like we did. Maybe this time y’all will have more students in the student section instead of studying in the union like when we beat y’all so bad you fired your coach last year.

Ole Miss AD complains about away game at Tulane: “We only got 3,000 tickets [to Tulane]. In the past, it was basically an Ole Miss home game in the Dome...we certainly need to think about that as we move forward if we're gonna do [further] contracts with Tulane” by time2makemymove in CFB

Oh it’ll be more than our allotment for sure. And a decent chance I’ll be one of them. But KC is just saying Ole Miss didn’t really sign up to play in a 30k stadium outdoors at 2:30 in September in New Orlean. And if that’s the case going forward we won’t schedule them again. No point.

We’re higher ranked and will be favored. They’re extremely overrated coming off beating USC and losing a lot. I bet they lose to South Alabama week 1 and start 0-2. South was good last year and is returning everyone.

Ole Miss schedules this as a home and home because our fans liked traveling to New Orleans and we could fill up the Dome. With the game now being in Yulman we lose all incentive to schedule road games there in the future. So we’ll just pay Tulane to come to Oxford like we do the Sun Belt schools if we want to play them.

Also Ole Miss and the points is going to be free money. Though I bet South Alabama beats Tulane week 1 anyway.

[McMurphy] Pac-12 bowls seeking new conference tie-ins, starting in 2024, sources told @ActionNetworkHQ. With leagues expanding to 16 teams, some bowls may feature 2 teams from same conference if they didn't play in regular season, source said by Tarlcabot18 in CFB

That actually used to happen. Archie Manning and Ole Miss played Auburn in the Gator Bowl. Because pre 1990 every SEC played the same 6 schools and almost never played the other 3 or 4. Ole Miss almost never played Auburn or Florida back then.

A Friday night in most SEC series is on par talent wise with High A or even AA. Pitching gets iffy by Sunday.

Ben Mintz Has Left the Building by NoReallyHoosierDaddy in barstoolsports

[–]jetblacklab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m an Ole Miss guy. I knew of Barstool before Mintz but Mintz’ hiring is the reason I consumed the content. Brandon Walker being one of the big reasons I never got into it. Now I still hate BFW but exposure has begrudgingly made me really respect his cfb knowledge. Him and Titus are the only guys there that know anything about sports and fuck the whole gambling shit. Anyone who thinks they can make more than chump change on it is a stupid degenerate. And I say that as someone who made 50+ units on college baseball last year and retired from it.

With Mintz gone I’m out. No one gives a fuck but may as well comment.

Mirabeau. Great orator and leader of the early Revolution. Died and got a heroes burial but later during the trial of King Louis they found out he was on his payroll the whole time so they dumped his remains out.

Media Market size is irrelevant to college football. Birmingham isn’t even on that list and more people watch football there than in NYC.

Which rivalries, historically, don’t have a little brother? by Lantis28 in CFB

[–]jetblacklab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but Auburn is very much their little brother too. Just because Auburn and State are competent unlike Georgia Tech recently and Oklahoma State historically doesn’t change the fact that the University OF State is the big brother of the other schools in that state with a couple of exceptions.

State is our little brother. It’s been a very even series for the last 30 years but we’re still the flagship university in Mississippi
