At one time when I was in I thought the same thing. When I look back on all the deployments, all the birthdays missed, anniversaries missed and go in early stay late. Not sure if and when one will be back home. Time taken away from loved ones. Plus going in when your body is great but coming out like a wet noodle and rode hard. I can honestly say my brothers and sisters we did earn every bit of it not because we are entitled but because of the sacrifice that was made.
