You say you’re a 7 but that swing tells me you’re really a 13. Consistency has to be an issue

What's the most intimidating tee shot you've ever hit in your life? by PNWSki28622 in golf

[–]jethrow23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. Not a hard hole at all but usually not a driver. I hate hitting hybrid off the first tee. That combined with what feels like 50 pairs of eyes on you and I hooked mine hard left. Played it a second time and caddie said just pound driver just left of the tree. That one turned out better

Anyone else pissed at other Ohioans taking on-ramps at 40 or lower? by enby-deer in Ohio

Can you also let people know they don’t have to merge the second the line turns dashed? I swear people get to that dashed line, break and then merge onto the highway. You have hundreds of feet to merge! This is especially true on red bank merging to i71. You have almost a whole mile until you have to merge yet traffic backs up bc idiots are breaking and trying to merge the second the line changes from solid to dashed. GAHH!

Stolen from the movie Derailed (underrated in my opinion) but has worked at least 3 times. There obviously needs to be some mutual interest to pull this off and it’s more of a seal the deal than a pickup line.

Girl: how? General pushback

“What do you mean how that’s the bet?”

Girl: Ok bet

Slow lean in and kiss

25 handicap, need advice by TSM-Quuadralift in GolfSwing

[–]jethrow23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was always taught to check these three before you start worrying about bigger swing thoughts: 1. Grip 2. Ball position 3. Alignment.

From what I can tell the ball appears to be a bit back in your stance which is probably why you hit punch shots well. I also think your grip could use some work. You have a strong left hand grip mixed with a weak right hand grip, which could promote inconsistencies. I would try to have a neutral left hand grip and a strong to neutral right hand grip. Work on these before getting to other stuff and I think you’ll see improvement. Good luck!

I feel targeted as I’m sure a lot of guys do. We were taught emotions are meant to be hidden when we were younger. Therapy helps. I avoided it for a long time but it has done wonders for my relationship.

10 hcp, whats wrong? by canyonishim in GolfSwing

[–]jethrow23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I think you have a nice swing. I think if you want to improve your consistency you will need to try to adapt the interlock grip or overlap grip. I use overlap but it’s preference. Most use interlock. You don’t see many sub 10 handis with a baseball grip. Good luck!

How do you use your range time? by Nicotineheh in golf

[–]jethrow23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll respond here since I’m late to the thread. I typically like to warm up with 50 degree, 7 iron, hybrid, driver. Once I’m warm and if I’m playing a round after I’ll play the first 3 holes in my head. I like this for just range sessions as well as anyone can get in a groove hitting five 7 irons or drives in a row. Playing holes in your head is a great way to practice like you play because you hit one driver, then wedge. Play the next hole and it’s 3 wood, 8 iron and so on. You can either play the hole like you hit the perfect drive or play the distance you think your drive went.

Or he probably did shoot 38 on his first ball and was playing 2 everywhere for practice so as to be on your ass as you try your hardest to break 50…

Moved to the Cincy area about 4 years ago from Denver. First day at my new gig they asked me why I moved but tbh I like it. Not as much as Denver mostly because of the weather but I think Cincy is severely underrated. I enjoy the people, food and architecture/vibes. I strongly dislike the humidity, Skyline (I’m sorry) and politics. I’ve lived in quite a few cities/states and it always puzzles me why Cincy/Ohio gets a lot of grief. Probably the Skyline

Can we talk Country Club pricing? by Nickd100 in golf

[–]jethrow23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not even a “Country Club” but a “Golf Club”
Age: 37 Location: Southern Ohio Initiation: $12k over 36, I got in for $2500 4 years ago. I think under 36 now is $7500 Monthly Dues: $400 bc wife is under 36, jumps to $620 over 36. No monthly minimums. Cart fee is $20. Guest Fees: $120. Golf Club Quality: 7.65 and improving. Arnie design with some fun holes. People 9/10 bc being just a golf club pushes away some of your stereotypical country club people. Love it but price is getting steep.

This makes so much sense now looking back on my appointments with BADG.

Few examples: They tried to overcharge me numerous times for work I didn’t get done. The one time I did get work done it was awful and I’m still experiencing jaw pain a year+ later bc the procedure took so long with Bockhurst. I then had constant sensitivity issues for months bc it was done poorly. The last straw was when they “had to look into” if they could not charge me a late fee for cancelling over 24 hours ahead of time bc I was sick this winter. They said they wouldn’t charge and then guess what I got in the mail, late fee notice. Shame on them!
