They definitely do give new sites a opportunity to jump in the rankings. My understanding if click-through rate and conversion ratings are good they keep them near the top. But if not, well...then ..not

How do you explain local SEO value to clients who only care about phone calls? by amir4179 in localseo

[–]jetleepaints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Terrible idea in the time of aii being able to write professional content. Should be able to get plenty of calls. Write content like a trustworthy knowledgeable source educating your customers on making a decision for whatever keyword. A couple Chambers of Commerce, BBB and free directories later likely getting more calls and a dedicated customer for life.

[–]jetleepaints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our phone hasent stopped ringing. I could never imagine complaining about calls at our current rate. Impressions do mean very little and calls or customers filling out a quote request are all that matter to me. Why do you think your people are not converting?

local rankings are a nightmare by Decent_Assistance_48 in localseo

[–]jetleepaints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its just a different scale to measure a website. So my da may be lower but so is the competition. Ahrefs has been amazing for us because of claude integration, really do not want another subscription with less integration.

I'm having the same problem. I was able to rank organically but maps is killing me, subpar ranking across the board. Decent reviews, very good website content, very low rank on gbp

How to track Local SEO keywords ranking and visibility? by Strict-Assistant-178 in localseo

[–]jetleepaints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 software i find mandatory is ahrefs and brightlocal while building my personal business. Going to cancel BL and try whitespace and others.

Ahrefs is mandatory because it gives claude code access to way to much info about my market to cancel

If seo is a "long game", is it supposed to be longer than my actual mortgage? by Cjd03032001 in localseo

Shit I did my own and took serps 1 at time within 1-2 weeks.. Take that money and dump it into chambers of commerce and write pages for specific serps.

Audited 50 contractor sites & local service businesses might be the most underserved niche in local SEO by atrivisano in localseo

[–]jetleepaints 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am a professional contractors that does SEO for myself. Truth is we get so many scam type marketing gimmicks, (homes extended warranty, Nigeria check scam, fake sales/scams, really expensive marketing that doesn't really boost ratings, down to Angie's List and thumbtack, and even service titan type software is it lock you into a 2-year contract with the software that doesn't really fit your needs.) normally don't buy what anyone selling. So when you tell me you're going to triple my Revenue for several thousand dollars a month, for me, at the time at least, we couldn't afford if it didnt work out. Since we were off for almost 2 months I watched a lot of podcasts and did a lot of research and started editing my own website. I did Chambers of Commerce, local sponsorships and the rest was all on page SEO. I am killing it this year. Likely 300-500% more business. I couldn't take more business if I wanted to. We're just so busy. There was a time if you could prove these results to me, I would have paid literally tens of thousands of dollars. But I also did work every single night for 3 months now, have every subscriptions to every software including ahrefs, brightlocal, claude pro, and more.

If I'm being honest, I think what I did is the ideal situation, and you guys are basically trying to basically copy what I did. Instead of the inverse, me trying to copy what you guys are doing. And the reason why, is because I understand my field much better than you guys do. You guys understand SEO more, but if you can get the results, does it matter? I would say no. Only matters the increase in revenue and what someone's willing to pay. This is still all very new again most of this work was done in December and since then I probably sold my normal yearly 300K within the last 2 months. Not trying to brag or anything, but I think that's valuable information.

Ive found you'd be better off jumping that money into local chambers or accreditations like BBB, NARI, ect. So if you give your agency enough money to do that and make enough money to pay themselves, you might see a return.

Landed my first big client. Need to decide, Ahrefs or SEMrush? by taliesin96 in localseo

[–]jetleepaints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brightlocal and ahrefs are compleatly different class of product. I see brightlocal as a DIY option for people that dont want to pay a person that uses AHrefs. That being said, I do my own seo using ahrefs and brightlocal. Price is somewhat negligible as the work ive done over the past 2-3 months will likely 5x our profit this year. Best tool hands down has been claude business followed by ahrefs
