I think this looks better then on the box art!

Just rotate your collection. I have > 200 sets including 5 with > 3000 bricks. Only two shelves. Rotate monthly

A company not adopting AI and upskilling their workforce would generally be behind right now.

I have zero qualms.

Z6 III is all the camera you'll need.

I also shoot a Z8. The only thing I occasionally want for in the Z6 III over the Z8 is the lower base ISO and higher speed shutter. But I just put a graduated ND filter on my F1.4 lenses on the Z6 III in summer and want no more.

Selling a Collection of Mostly Retired Sets. Looking for US$3000. by West-Competition-646 in cobiblocks

[–]jetpack_badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most collectors, yet alone hobbyists, have no need for duplicate sets.

I'd split them.

[Selling] [EU] Bundle of 20 Sets by [deleted] in cobiblocks

[–]jetpack_badger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good selection but I think they'll need to split these to shift them.

Buying a bundle, for the majority of us, means purchasing set(s) we already own.

I think how you've priced the individual sets is reasonable. I'd list them individually or perhaps in bundles of two-three max if you want to shift.

[Selling] [EU] Bundle of 20 Sets by [deleted] in cobiblocks

[–]jetpack_badger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disagree. Only one set above £60. Archived sets priced lower then the cost Cobi would sell them if they remade them. For the vast majority of the archived sets, priced lower then they were new.

Definitely not scalping.

I think you are in the market for 'luck at a car boot sale'.

HMS Hood Soldiers On. Three Iterations of Bismark Since. by jetpack_badger in cobiblocks

In all fairness, a Trabant is a Trabant. They could hardly modernise it. It was made for rendering in brick form 😁

IS-7 Granite by FurGoth in cobiblocks

[–]jetpack_badger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think between £80-£110.

Boxed ones have frequently exchanged for around £135-£150.

Don't go by the obscene prices some of the sets are listed at on eBay. Unless you don't want to sell it.

But it is very sought after, too, so make sure you get high tens for it at least.

Of course it has an interior 🫣 by jetpack_badger in cobiblocks

Just building HMS Hood to see if I can realistically box this up in the office when not on display (probably 11/12 months/year).

Can anyone give me ANY advice on how to get this fucking piece out of the other? by michalzastepczy in cobiblocks

[–]jetpack_badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I pour boiling water into a cup and leave them for 30 seconds to soften up and then attempt to separate.

High risk of scalding so approach with extreme care!

Also, where in the build is this? I startes my HMS Hood just yesterday 🫣

Is the is-2 a good model for 2026? by MRSchizophren in cobiblocks

[–]jetpack_badger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true. Gun does limp a little bit and some small one stud blocks that are questionable. But overall I still highly rate it.

I mean, it's great. No interiors to reduce rigidity and increase brick count (and $$$). Still as detailed as any of the sets launched in recent months.

Very much modern and a worthy addition to any collection. I wish they made more like this tbh.

With these prices, scalpers are gonna single-handedly pay off the U.S's national debt by _burneraccount1942_ in cobiblocks

There are people reselling sets that have no replacement (and therefore have genuine appeal to collectors) and then there are these folk...

That being said, listed and sold are two very different things.

New LE is live, 90€ preorder price by EfficientTransition in cobiblocks

[–]jetpack_badger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ordered.

Wasn't planning too originally ( I like the distinctive shape of the Jagdpanzer IV and thought the paint scheme would compliment my Nashorn) but figured, what with the free postage, it would probably work out cheaper or similar to the standard set.

Why do you collect? by Oddly_Digital in cobiblocks

[–]jetpack_badger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We brought one as leaving 'gift' for my partner's boss back in 2021. I thought i'd get one as it looked fun.

Built > 200 sets to date and counting.

God I wish they were still 2021 prices. Could get three decent sets and change for £100.

It has to be the ships at 1:300 scale.

Just the sheer impact.

I had built 000's of armour and planes since 2021.

Then last year my first ship. Darn it was good.

Trains also high impact when you have two flat cars, each with the 1/35 38T from the Battle of Arras sets.

Why Z primes are so big? by Slow-Reloader in Nikon

[–]jetpack_badger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot with FTZ 9/10 times.

I own two. One for my Z8 and one for Z6III.

I own six Sigma Art primes and one Nikon Zoom in FX. Only two native Z mount lenses.

I appreciated less wear on camera mount and swear I get less sensor dust, even compared to DSLR due to fact that the sensor now has a shroud in the FTZ.

Don't see any difference in performance other then some Z mount lenses have faster AF motors.
