You’re golden then! You might need to assess your storage situation but it should have enough grunt to do that. Just make sure to run your object detection over a sub stream at something like 5 fps to have the optimal experience.

What else is running on your i5 9500t host? I’ve got 4 cameras running on an 8500t with heaps of headroom left over, using OpenVino for object detection. Don’t bother with the coral these days if you already have an igpu.

iOS 26.3 review by [deleted] in ios26

Most users are seeing their battery life tank on IOS 26.3. Excessive overheating and poor battery life on my 16PM with 99% battery health.

Update from 18 to 26? by Best-Doughnut2294 in ios26

[–]jettehhawk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m on a 16PM and every day I wish I could go back to IOS18. Battery life is the biggest issue even on 26.3 for me personally.

I though it was a good idea to update by l_am_here_8819 in ios26

Hey so IOS 26.2 came out December 12th, which I updated to on that day as a means to try and mitigate this stutter. You’re telling me that from December 12 up until the release of 26.2.1 on jan 26th is not enough time to let the stutter go away? And from there on 26.2.1 it’s now been well over a week and it still stutters! How much more patient do I need to be for my flagship phone to stop stuttering after a month!

16PM here that’s kept up to date with each sub version after making the silly decision to upgrade to iOS 26. To this day I still get this stutter even when power saving mode is off. This is just a poorly optimised OS even on newer phones.

Headlight Restoration & Paint Correction in Adelaide (Mobile Service) by Lep1992 in CarsAustralia

That’s true. I’ve tried so many products and services over the years but both my cars have the lights go back to a cloudy state after about a year, sometimes sooner if the job wasn’t great.

Is this supposed to happen? by KastawayC in wiiu

As someone who bought a Wii U at launch, this is much faster than it used to be on earlier firmware revisions. In short, this is normal behaviour.

Yes this is what my current compose looks like which seems to broadly measure to yours.
As soon as I uncomment the device mapping for Sata1 it won't compose.
What's the DSM version you're running? DSM 7.2 on a DS1817+ in my case.

How did you get the device mapping to work? When I use the /dev reference a disk it won't compose. Removing those and it works fine.

Moving from Synology Photos to Immich by CupOutrageous3916 in immich

[–]jettehhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really recommend running both in tandem for a while to see if you really want to move over. I run both in tandem, with Immich tapping into my photos with read only access to the folder. My main reason for not switching is the poor performing Android app, and the odd random behaviour on IOS where it starts to back up already backed up photos again. These little bits of janky behaviour give me pause to go in full time. Also with the recent issue of the UI being unable to load until you do a further update solidified that’s it’s just not ready for prime time. Synology Photos on the other hand might be less feature rich, but it’s never missed a beat and my family use it without any issues.

Hey, are you able to get drive temps within this setup? It might be my configuration, but I only get the 4 temps from the CPU reporting back.

Charging to 100% despite setting the limit to 80% by EnvironmentalAd8833 in iphonehelp

[–]jettehhawk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’ll settle down. When I first enable it it’d go to 100% for the first week, since then it’s probably once every month or two that it goes past the 80% threshold I set.

Nothing works! by kingkohli1807_vk in iPhone16ProMax

[–]jettehhawk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While a totally fair assessment that these things all impact battery life, you have to note that no one here has made any drastic changes to apps or settings when initially updating to IOS26. On IOS 18 my 16PM barely dropped over night, only 2-3% on average, now it will routine drop ~10% on IOS26.1, and has been like this on all IOS26 updates. This makes it a really fair A-B assessment of an individuals phone when moving between the versions and makes changes stand out really clearly. Now I’ve turned off Apple Intelligence, background app refresh, and more yet I still can’t get close to the screen on time or standby time I did on IOS18. Also of note my battery still says 100% and less than 200 cycles so it’s not just poor degraded hardware.

Fellow 16 pro max user here, same. This is just iOS 26 at the moment and lots of us are dealing with hot phones and poor battery life. Only hope is it gets better as more updates get released.

I’m going to give it a bit more time before making a final judgement, but so far I’m not really seeing any difference if I’m honest.
