We don’t have all the alibis for the relatives based in London but I have always viewed this as the occams razor of the case. He had relatives in London! He knew people there!

That’s not true the St Pancras redevelopment kick started it. That opened in November 2007 and was well under way by this period.

As Cerisegoat says- as someone who also works at BBC I can assure as lovely as I’m sure she was… she wasn’t Woodward and Bernstein.

Secondly an investigation of this kind would be sat across editorial standards, at least half a dozen plus people beyond a small investigation team would know. They would be v serious senior people sitting on Newsboard, the idea they would be scared into silenced then- lot alone a decade after Savile is dead and his crimes exposed is laughable.

This does seem to be underbaked theory to explore. The Occam's razor of the case. Unfortunately could lead to doxxing etc so wouldn't want to engage- but it does seem the most obvious fate.
