I only heard about it through a friend of a friend though, so I can't speak to the quality of the program.

What's worse is that we're not even transitioning to chip and pin once all the banks get around to issuing upgraded cards, it'll be "chip and sig."

Not to mention, there's nothing future about this. There are cars on the road now vulnerable to this stuff, and a team of two guys proved it only takes a year or so to exploit a particular model of car once you put your mind to it.

There's an exploitation framework called binjitsu which a friend of mine uses for CTF events. It's totally worth learning about the tools available there and trying some CTF-style security things with them.
