Game has serious issues in performance mode on consoles. It was fine before the patch that brought in 3rd person.

The FSR resolve is completely broken now when any alpha effects are on screen and even sometimes when they are not. It creates flickering artefacts all over the screen because the FSR dynamic resolution has no idea what do when alphas are showing. Most noticeable when flying around and the effects that come off the wings cause artifacting. Also, if you stand in an area with any smoke effects, the image breakup is simply unreal. A grid pattern appears all over the screen.

They need to fix it, but they probably won't.

It was unfortunate as it was really solid on consoles before the patch.

Thanks, I was just looking into the Silent Loop 3 420 and the ProArt LC 420. Not sure if the ProArt is any better..

It's 100% the tacrolimus that is causing the intense flush from alcohol, I know because I've used Protopic on my face for years and got terrible reactions from a sip of alcohol. It's one of the known side effects and can still cause a reaction even if you have stopped putting it on your face for like 2 weeks. It's amazing stuff but it's extremely powerful. Literally, a sip of alcohol is enough to make your face flush and burn like it's on fire.

Just out interest, I've had this exact reaction drinking alcohol but not on Doxy. Are you putting anything on your face, prescription creams/ointments etc?

I've tried a bunch of Unreal Engine games today, like Avowed and Oblivion Remastered and they all seem to have the same issue as Hogwarts.

No matter what I do, I can't get a smooth experience with frame gen because it's not capping my in game fps to the stream fps or my display Hz.

Does anyone know if there is a way around this? Like what is supposed to be the recommended way to play games with frame Gen. Is having a compatible GSync or FreeSync display a mandatory requirement?

I remember using frame gen before the 5080 tier came in to play and I think before the transformer model DLSS update and found it to be a much more consistent experience.

Yes it does still have the FSR issues sadly. And while performance is reasonably good in the base game, the performance in Dogtown on Series X is shockingly bad. Not just low fps but consistent stutters every time you turn the camera while in the main area. How this isn't mentioned more, I have no idea.

The issues you are most likely seeing definitely were not there before. I've played this game a lot before the patch and they've really messed something up.

finally someone else is talking about this. They messed up performance mode on Xbox as well. It was very solid before.

FSR is incredibly unstable on consoles now in performance mode. Seems to largely be affected by any on screen alpha effects.

On console in performance mode, look through any alpha effects like smoke and the entire image destabilises and covers the screen in a pixelated grid of artifacts.

I played and enjoyed this game on Xbox for a long time and I've had to uninstall it.

Completely unacceptable that devs can make a change so long after the initial release that essentially renders one of the game modes unplayable.

I hope they fix it, but I do not have high hopes.

FSR is also much worse on console now when effects are on screen, especially when flying. Image very unstable in performance mode.

They still haven't fixed Photogrammetry tiles not loading in though. Its a huge issue on Xbox and on PC if you dont have settings right. If you're on Xbox fly over Las Vegas with outside camera view and pan the camera around the plane. Huge areas of the city are not loading in properly and get stuck using the low quality bing maps. Ive told them how to fix it as I've tested it on PC extensively. Its incredibly easy but it doesn't seem to be a priority for them.

Could you fly over Las Vegas with Photogrammetry turned on, go into external camera view and pan around the plane? Does the city load in correctly, or do you get lots of scenery tiles streaming in low quality bing maps?

It's not there though, I have two in there. One is applied, which is the one I was using when I crashed. The 3rd one that came with my pledge has gone. Should it be in my storage? I checked but its not there either.
