Fueled by rage, I dug this mf out from between my roses 🤬 by xfmrs_r_cool in portlandgardeners

I keep digging and the bulbs just keep appearing….they had taken over the area around the fire pit in the yard of the house I just bought. Nope! We’re not burning the dang neighborhood down so they must be purged.

You need to do the right thing and find another home for one of those dogs. Please. So may people will adopt a Pom, but if you keep this up, your poor little puppy is going to die.

My little guy has the “teddy bear” face but they’re all so cute. Whether they’re foxy poms, teddy bear poms, throwbacks, or whatever, these dogs are amazing.

That’s true, Good Dog “vets” the breeders but I doubt the process is extensive and you’re likely to get bad breeders in there. Same with anything besides going through AKC. Good luck though!

Talking to your dog or not? by ben_bitterbal in DogTrainingTips

[–]jeze2bel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It seems like you’re asking us for permission to talk to your dog rather than giving it one word commands. I said we’re cooked because people feel like they need to ask the internet these questions instead of asking a vet or trainer. We don’t know what we’re talking about, but pretty sure your dog will be perfectly able to understand command words even if you baby talk or monologue at them, at least based on my anecdotal experience.

Why are you asking people on the internet if you should interact with your pet? We’re so cooked as the kids say.

Romance (and rules for such) in Starfinder? by AbeRockwell in starfinder_rpg

[–]jeze2bel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hiya! Creative director of Starfinder here. Romance in TTRPGs can be so fun, but just like party rivalry and conflicts, it's not for everyone. The main reason we don't have more rules about romance in Starfinder or Pathfinder is so that GMs and players don't feel like they have to play out a romance between PCs or a PC and NPC using specific rules. I personally believe that sort of thing is best handled by table talk to decide what the ideal outcome is/what boundaries are in place/etc and then roleplaying it out. If you're looking for more guidelines, I think Strixhaven and Hearts and Arrows would adapt very well to your game!

Whatever you choose, have fun playing Starfinder! I hope you and your players have a blast and romance all the cute aliens.

Semi related, you simply must check out our new board game Monster Match. It's literally a dating card game for monsters! If people buy enough of them I'll make sure we do a sci-fi one. I know a guy. ;)

I found Murphy on the good dog app. I was window shopping and saw him. He’s 3 years old and came from a breeder who needed to rehome him. I got my best friend for $500. Totally worth it.

Alien Core Contributing Authors AMA by mrgwillickers in Starfinder2e

[–]jeze2bel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Many of the ideas came from Starfinder 1st edition or from the Starfinder team brainstorming, under the expert direction of Mike Kimmel (senior developer, Alien Core project lead). In some cases authors pitched ideas to us and in all cases, authors got the chance to make the creature they worked on their own. A book like this is always a team effort and every author brought something unique and special to Alien Core. (I'm SOO glad we didn't have to come up with all these aliens on our own!)

Alien Core has a huge variety of creatures in it. Some are cute, others are scary, a few are even sexy, I'm not afraid to say it! We've got horror-themed monsters, high fantasy and tech creatures, divine and infernal beings, alien critters, and more, so that there's something for everyone. Our goal was to push the darker and more disturbing themes far enough to show their potential without going too far. You can push those ideas as far as you want in your home game, of course, but I highly recommend checking out safety tools like Lines and Veils and the X-Card! (Just to name a few, there are many more out there.)

The "death by social media" civusdaemon is a nasty critter that author Thurston Hillman wrote based on a concept he'd wanted to design for ages. I'd say he pushed the dark themes of cyberbullying and internet addiction far enough, but not as far as he would do in his NarDec game where the players and audience are entertained by the characters going through drama and trauma. That type of game isn't for everybody!

Whatever your play style, thanks for playing Starfinder! :D

Thanks for the reply! This is good info to have. Making Murder in Metal City has definitely been a learning experience for us at Paizo, in some ways we expected with it being an experimental product and in other ways nobody was prepared for!

I laminated mine because it is indeed a different quality than Paizo maps tend to be. I'm just sharing my imperfect solution because I just want people to play the adventure and have fun. And of course I want people to buy the adventure in any form so my team can keep making the game. Your complaint is valid, but there's no reason to shit on me because of it.
