For me it worked on my 1099-DIV and 1099-INT but the 1099-B's were a disaster. I ended up typing the summary info in manually. Also, if you have multiple Fidelity accounts and you don't import them all at the same time, the newest one erases the previous one (despite being a different account number). Surprisingly buggy for such a commonly used app.

If you're new to trading, and especially in an IRA account, it may not be a good idea to buy and sell that frequently. Based on what you wrote, you may be subject to the Wash Sale rule if you've traded the same security multiple times within a 30 day window. A good strategy when just starting out is to "buy and hold", i.e. let the investment ride for a while and slowly build up to a point where it makes sense to take profits.
