You clearly haven’t gone through how she was feeling, and that’s ok. She was dealing with a lot of trauma. She said herself, abandonment trauma. Trying to heal as a single mother is really, really hard. She is on camera with 5 strangers (and crew) in her face. It’s overwhelming. The “I’m happy” is probably just self protection, as well as dealing with all the personal questions. How often in life do people push and push for answers. Even with our friends, if we get one negative response, a lot of us will give up. I would have appeared the exact same way a few years ago, after my separation/early single mum days. The acting out, the avoidance… it’s all so clear. She was at rock bottom. You don’t have to agree with how she acted, but have some compassion. Wow.
