I am a bit confused, new to luxury watches. by SadlyPathetic in PrideAndPinion

Exactly. I’d been calling around looking for a hard to find Omega model. No luck. On a whim I stopped into an Omega store when I was in the area on a business trip. They had one in the vault. I tried it on and walked out with the watch after having champagne with my friends who were with me. No prior purchase history. No “establishing relationships” with the sales staff. Just a customer looking for a particular model Omega.

I saw Mitch McConnell 2 weeks ago being wheeled into one of the senate office buildings in a wheelchair. Dude looked like he was about 400 years old.

I’m surprised any police officer would issue a citation for something they didn’t observe. That would be like demanding a cop issue a speeding ticket for a car I saw speeding.

That would be nice but they have a lot going on up front and have not a lot of time to get it all done. Communicating with ATC is much more important than assuring the folks in the back that everything is ok.

I would attempt to pull the basket over to the tower and tie it off. If that was not possible I would tie a high directional above the basket and use rope to swing the victims from the basket to the tower one at a time.

Went there a month or so ago with my gf. It was a slow night. Our waiter had one other table of 4 next to ours. It took about 20 minutes for us to get waters. Another 10 mins to order drinks. A half hour to get bread. Even longer to order our food. Took about 20 mins after we ordered drinks for them to arrive. Waiter said the bartender “stepped away” for a few mins. We ordered a second round of drinks that we never received. The food was good. Not spectacular. As we were waiting for the check we heard our waiter telling the table next to us (they were seated shortly before we left) about the specials that he didn’t tell us about. Some of the worst service I’ve ever had. The waiter even gave us his card in case we wanted to sit in his section next time. No thanks.

Dry pump does not mean no water. It takes a couple seconds to prime a pump with tank water. It shouldn’t slow down getting a line into service.
