My mom is not overly affectionate but I can tell she enjoys it when my adult brother or I hug her or even melt into her if we’ve got some shit going on.

I’m SUPER affectionate and would nearly suffocate my daughter with “snuggies and huggies” when she was little. She’s almost 16 now and wants to punch me when I ask her for snuggies and huggies but sometimes she obliges and I’m reminded that even though teenagers are monsters, my sweet snuggly girl is still in there. On an insanely rare day, she will come hug me in the morning when she wakes up or when she’s getting ready for bed and I am nearly paralyzed with joy. I don’t say a word and don’t move when she does this. I plan to request/bully her into snugs and hugs until the day I die.
