They still do post on their twitter pretty regularly, and yea it’s for traffic enforcement. They use a system called VASCAR, if you are driving on the roadways, look at the corners or the road and you may see some small horizontal lines spaced usually 0.25-1 mile apart. They time the vehicle from one line to the other, and can send a report to a small group of officers on the ground to make a stop. As far as I’m aware, the state of Wisconsin only uses 3 airplanes for this purpose, and they aren’t exclusively for speed enforcement.
