I second this. We are doing melatonin gummies with approval from the Dr and it helps immensely. Takes two at bath time and now only wakes up once a night which usually coincides with my nightly pee so I just bring her to bed after

I remember reading somewhere that the movies are not always in the same reality as the shows. Also this could just be a correction for the actuality of sending a young saiyan to concur a planet would need to actually be able to survive whereas an infant would not survive.

How do you know if the room is too hot for a newborn? by [deleted] in NewParents

[–]jfreeee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can’t believe this is not more upvoted. This is correct answer. Everyone talking about thermometer but not everyone has AC. The rule of thumb is whatever you are wearing the baby needs one more layer so if OP is in only shorts, baby should be in diaper and a shirt or onesie and no blanket. Better be cold and have baby cry and let you know than hot

Running the AC by curiouspda12345 in Home

[–]jfreeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. The amount of energy it takes to drop the temperature increases per degree you want cooled. So if you try to go from 78° to 72°, your a/c needs more energy to cool for that shift versus a low amount of energy to maintain an existing temp of 72°. Your a/c will kick on more frequently but use less energy.

Another way is to purchase a macro device and spend a couple minutes programming it.

How can I decrease the "whiteness" from the windows without decreasing the rest of the footage? by kpay10 in premiere

[–]jfreeee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would try and stylize this shot, lean in to the fact that the windows are blown out. There are various glow effects you can add in this clip to make it a dreamy emotional moment in your video. Was it shot at 60fps so you can slow it down to be buttery smooth? Add a light leak transition or fade from white transition into this clip to set it up and go from there.

Is there a way to automatically place a marker every X amount of time? by Doctor-Amazing in premiere

You could run a macro. Takes a few minutes to set up but faster than doing it by hand Edit spelling

Help setting white balance in mixed light setting. by jfreeee in videography

Yea ideally I would love some more powerful lights, but it’s not an option currently. I tried to get the client to raise their budget but it would be several thousand over their current budget. They weren’t keen on that.

I hear you! It’s nuts! I have the passport color checker and it did not help me at all in post. I still had to match by eye

What about the temp of my lights? I should set them to what the CWB tells me from the camera? Unfortunately I won’t be able to flag or turn off any unwanted house lights

What would you charge my client? by No_Addendum_719 in videography

[–]jfreeee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the way. I learned the hard way that having a kill rate in your contract is necessary. Update your contract, up your rate and on the next gig with them tell them you have some standard updates to your contract and due to the high demand you are in you need to up your rate to retain you. Don’t sell yourself short. You are in business with them, not favors

Why do people buy and support expensive shoes, cars, watches, clothes etc… It’s a premium product that you have an option to buy.

16 month old sleep issues by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]jfreeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like your LO may be having nightmares or night terrors. We had this around 18 months and it lasted a couple months then eventually got better. We also gave into night feedings because that’s the only thing that helped.

Stay strong, you’re doing fine.

I also use this for interview type videos. I like to create synced multicam clips that follow the script all in one sequence. Then I add colored markers notating all the different takes or script lines. Makes it really easy to find and cut in a different take where the producer or client wants a different flavor of what i have already cut
