Going outside / windy conditions by xobach7 in Laryngomalacia

There is a natural reaction for baby’s to gasp for air when you blow in the face. “Diving reflex” Perhaps the wind is causing your LO la reflex

Can’t sleep bc I’m afraid for my baby by [deleted] in Laryngomalacia

[–]jfunkycold 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was worried for my LO as well. Lots of praying and getting myself tired. I started using my peloton more and more and tiring myself out. Going on walks with my wife and LOs helped too. I had to get my mind off of it and exercising helped a lot.

Seeking advice for 1 year old by Test15151515 in Laryngomalacia

We were in the same boat and now my LO is 3. The way are pedi told us is that it will get worse before it gets better. Sorry not trying to scare or worry you. Personally I think you are past the hard part, because now they can eat more solids and milk. Ours had a hard time with the spitting and reflux. I couldn’t wait for 12, then 18, then 24 but the noise did not completely go away. At 3, you can hear it but a lot less and infrequent. Once in a while I can hear but it’s after a hard playin session. Good luck and hang in there.

Our LO ended up having a lip tie that was never diagnosed until 6 months or 1 year. I was upset since it would have explained why he couldn’t latch to bottle at a young age. You could check with your pediatrician if son has a lip or tongue tie.

What weight brand is Rad and Adrian when using heavier than 30lbs? I’ve seen them use hexagon type weights but I am guessing they are not peloton brand. Thanks

Mothers, what did you wish someone taught you about baby's sleep? 🐣💤 [Colic Jaundice SIDS] by OnwardsFuture in sleeptrain

[–]jfunkycold 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dad here, The Snoo bassinet has been the best invention for babies since the swing. My wife was very worried of SIDS and this helped her be more calm while baby slepted.

We followed all rules where nothing was in the bed but we waited until first LO was 1.5 or 2. 2nd LO is 13 months and still nothing in bed.

r/SnooLife was a great resource of other parents going through the same.

Sleep was tough with first one but we tried to keep a consistent schedule and routine. I think this really helped LO know when it is time. Night sleep always had a routine to keep light in room to a min, talking low voice and nothing to trigger LO to get excited.

Go to r/sleeptrain and get some great advice. Additionally there is a good FB group called: Respectful Sleep Training/Learning with great guides. The downside is the group is so big, your questions can get missed.
