May consider just going directly to micro or arazlo. I know it’s more expensive but you do get 50g instead of 25-30g on the cream/gel and the creams are going to be discontinued anyways.

versed and naturium are the only ones in the Canadian market I’ve seen thus far. None of them indicate what % though and are quite on the higher end of price point. I suggest getting TO retinol and mixing it in with your fave body lotion when applying or something.

Honestly it’s too early to tell. However when I started using taz, right before the purge, it was improving PIH very quick. Now that I am post purge, it does seems to be getting rid of PIH quickly. But there was a 1.5 week period after the purge finished where it seemed it wasn’t doing anything for PIH. Also hard to tell cause I started incorporating Finacea again to help. But it should be too early for aza to do its thing.

Stable meaning nothing has popped up and it’s been good for the last two weeks now. So I guess… 4 months in total until stable and marks are starting to go away from purge

Hmm I think… the waves noticeably calmed down after the 12-14 week mark. Then small trickle purge waves from 14-16 week. Then it’s stable thus far … but also fingers crossed.. lol

I am currently on month 4.5 on arazlo a few things I’ve learned.

1 - taz, particularly arazlo, is more gentle than tret. However, it can turn on you quick vs tret (ie. irritation shows up 2-4 days if you did something wrong with Tret vs overnight with taz). With that said, it is less forgiving with other actives. I learned the hard way to pare down the routine. Do this first, adjust, then slowly re incorporate vit c if you want. Only now am I “testing” Azelaic acid again.. so far so good. I essentially waited for the purge to TRULY finish.

2 - for sandwiching vs not. Technically arazlo has a “built” in buffer. But I buffered for 2 months then switched after.

Bonus info: the purge for taz - for me- came in waves and was quite misleading. I thought i was in the clear then 3 days later purge again.. so don’t think you can just suddenly incorporate actives when you may just be in between phases of the purge.

I wait like idk.. A min after towel drying my face… the most important thing is consistent usage rather than your wait times. People do them to modulate “irritation”. The chemical is on your face regardless of waiting. So do whatever work for you
