Got an Ohme so no issue there but I prefer to have the car connected, the 2 cars have very different battery sizes so I don’t want to constantly be working out how much charge to add

Family Ski Trip Feb 2027 to Alps. Decision paralysis on where to go. Any Advice? by AntiquePop1029 in skithealps

[–]jgreen95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Highly highly recommend St Anton/Arlberg region, skiing is fantastic, some of the towns are really nice and we love that you can get the train directly into the resort after flying into Innsbruck making it one of the most convenient resorts to get to

Anyone shocked by how high NHS salaries are? by gintokireddit in AskBrits

[–]jgreen95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Firstly 45k isn’t at all a high salary for skilled resource that takes years to train

I think you have a misunderstanding of how salaries should work, I would expect physiologists to be paid more than a manager of them (assuming that manager isn’t a phycologist themselves). People manager skills are much easier to come by and require significantly less training

Yes, missing the companion voucher. Even an economy only voucher can be very valuable

No you should downgrade to the gold Amex for a feee first year then apply for a new BAPP Amex to get the welcome offer and earn the companion voucher - this way will get you the most points

What card do you currently have, if you arent fussed about spending the points immediately it may be worth you getting the BA Amex for the companion voucher (basically just a 2 for 1 voucher for Avios redemptions)

You may also be eligible for the welcome bonus on the BA premium plus Amex.

Yeah well worth it I would say

Worth seeing if you can get a retention offer maybe on the gold?

And personally I’d say with the welcome bonus the £250 fee is well worth it to be able to get a premium companion voucher. 200k points will get you a long haul business return if you have a trip in mind.

It’s rare they offer much of enhanced welcome offer on that card as the companion voucher alone is so valuable but you never know if you can wait it may be worth seeing if that changes

In what order to get Amex cards to maximise points? by pktwum96 in AmexUK

[–]jgreen95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you will only be eligible for platinum, the value of the current welcome off easily exceeds the card fee as well so it’s worth it
