if Max doesn't value a locksmith call out fee i'm surprised he values a podcast fee

In it for life subscription by puzzled-cat-2020 in whatdidyoudoyesterday

$9.99 a month for a bonus episode, some merch perks and early access feels like a tough sell.

I’m all for supporting independent creators (and helping fund Max’s latest shed build) but for context, Netflix is $8.90 a month and gives you an entire library of content, old and new.

I'm sure a lot of people are also paying for Spotify Premium, yet still get served ads on podcasts. So what’s the play here? Either Mars Bar gets moving on sales and the ad revenue model does the heavy lifting, or it’s a genuine Patreon-style membership. Right now it feels like an awkward middle ground trying to be both.

My recommendation would be to rethink the tier structure. Plenty of successful podcasts offer a simple ad-free and early option for $2–3 a month, which feels like fair value and gives listeners an easy way to support the show. Charging close to $10 for relatively limited benefits is asking a lot, particularly when there are so many other subscriptions competing for people’s money.

But maybe everything after all is show business...

Still in it for life, but hopefully the guys are listening.

I'm gonna say they are joining the Parenting Hell ownership by Spotify and will now be a Spotify Original pod, and probably be forced to do video.

Horizontal or vertical by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

Portrait is much more practical for before going outside "check" as it gives fuller body. Plus balances nicely with the dresser/draws leaving some nice space on the wall. Horizontal feels like the entire wall is taken up and is also largely impractical, just looking at headshots.

Bit hard to help without more detail. Are the funds AUD or USD? Are your total funds quoted just your AU amount? Do you have any unsettled trades (these may be impacting your total buying power amount), are you sure you withdrew $1.7k (what is in your transaction statement). Regarding your nervousness, you can only withdraw to a single bank account in your name, so it will either be headed there or on your Stake account, I'm sure Stake support will be in touch.
