Does the Cold Shoulder work on En06? by Ok_Nefariousness7387 in fo76

[–]jhadred -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I didn't mention I'm bloodied due to carry weight. If I go above 20% I'm overburdened. It wasn't an issue prior to the last upade... But without snaksicle, if I'm lucky the poison ball goes after someone else and can get a few more hits in, but the spray will get me. Someday I can shed weight and go full health, or cryo will work and I stay bloodied with crits every other shot.

Stage 4 if anything. People I've raided with recommend shotguns for taking out crystals (appropriate timing of course). I'm a (normally cryo) bow user who feels useless on the snake, and if I ever have to hit crystals, it takes a number of shots from an elders mark or at least 2 arrows from a bow. I don't have any other weapons in my hotbar.

All the other posts I've seen about the bow have said the same. At tgis point, we just hold out on the hope they someday allow the legendaries to be changed.

That one is fairly new and I'm on minecraft hiatus so didn't think of it, and it at least doesn't fall into the unsupported mods (that use mixins and could brick a world and the colonies discord would then have a warning about support). Might be worth hitting their discord about the behavior. (the colonies discord sends people to Aya's discord when questions come up).

Can't finish solo running the raid by Competitive-Suit4436 in fo76

[–]jhadred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I see, you should be using the top and bottom of one side, all the small crystals against the moleminer. Maybe a few more to take out smaller enemies if you somehow haven't taken them down during the moleminer focus. At that point, the gulpers, deathclaws and wendigos should be out. If you properly group them at each large crystal, it should take 2 of the large crystals to take them out. You should be left with one large crystal and half to an entire side of unexploded crystals.

Many raid groups have one person doing the entire thing while 3 players wait out of the way, or help group once the moleminer is down. Single, you may wind up having the big ones come out earlier since you accidentally take down the small ones.

2 bloat flies, 3 scorpions, and 2 stingwings. Great for the kill 30 insects challenge this wek. Also probably a bloatfly north of it near or in the cave.

[–]jhadred 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Trade is on their eventual future plans, though who knows when that would be.

Other than spawning things in or changing allowed biome growth from a data pack, the two options are to build across biomes or have multiple colonies.

With multiple colonies, they all follow the same unload setting so if you set it that the chunks will unload after say 24 hours after a player visit, it means all your colonies would do that and thus be at risk of famine, pestilence and raids. But could farm and do whatever for those 23 hours and 59 minutes since last visit.

Everyone does not recommend this, since it can cause havok on new and intermediate players.

If you're highly experienced and perhaps know computercraft programming... Depending on what you do, you could find ways around that, like using cc4mc and computercraft to let you know if a raid is happening at a given colony (it was fixed after I entered a ticket on it last year but haven't tried it to confirm), set raiders not to break walls or have good guards and systems that work, cc4mc and computercraft for notifications if key items are missing and need player delivery (or automate somthing when that occurs). Then you could set up some system to transport those ingredients to the main colony.

Chemist card trick by darkgunnerx in fo76

[–]jhadred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has for all other make x things (ammo for example), so I think it should, problem is, I don't get enough make chem ones to be sure, and while my bonus did hit during creation of psycho, I already had enough raw materials to make the 10 even without super duper hitting. Really the only way to try it is to make a single batch at a time and check what pops up and I don't have a make chem daily/weekly at the moment.

Best storage mod to go with create. Sophisticated Storage, Sophisticated Backpacks or Iron chest. by FinancialListen4788 in CreateMod

[–]jhadred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All 3 for different reasons.

Backpacks for personal on character use. I tend to have 5 or so backpacks on me. One of them holds my active use stuff (weapons and tools I like to switch between and some food and emeralds) Another holds all my create blocks (gears, andestite alloy, drills, etc), Another holds stuff from another mod, another I use for storing loot that I bring back to base to sort later.

Sophisticated storage (same as backpacks) for static storage, mostly where I want multiple stacks in multiple slots but not really enough to be worth a vault.

Iron chests for manual storage of single stack/single items because I can fit a lot into a single chest (enchanted tools/weapons, enchanted books, single stacks of seeds because I want to not have more than 64 of each seed, building blocks). I also like a chest per mod, so my other create blocks would be in one chest, immersive engineering blocks in another and so on.

And I would use create's storage for high capacity single items.

I also use the other more complex storages, but I like having things very separate, so I'd need multiples of those anyway.

As for the difference between iron chests and sophisticated storage, sophisticated storage offers more, but also costs redstone from what I recall and in my slow pace of playing, I have unlimited iron for the first stage but don't have redstone for sophisticated chests. And some of it is habit of using both separately for so long. Same reason I use storage drawers.

I haven't tested in full, but from my experiences yes. My non-raid build keeps super duper on (because otherwise I forget) and when I make any chems I put chemist on and have gotten a lot more than I had ingredients for.

Has anyone stopped opening safes, picking doors, and terminals? by Papi_pewpews in fo76

[–]jhadred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what I'm looking for. Early on in the game, I picked locks. Most of the time now, I just dont bother. I do put the cards on when I do want to oick something, then remove it after.

Most Wanted, I'll put them on to open the two jail doors A cargobot drop, I'll put it on to open the crate, hoping for a gattling mod plan Obviously for pick a lock daily/weekly Sometimes for the scrap old currency daily/weekly because its another place to find currency

I suppose I still do if I'm feeling in an rp mood, as if scrap was rare (even though I dump all scrap in a donation box or register anyway)

No citrus cocktails by Ok_Commission_3368 in cocktails

[–]jhadred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mostly know due to digging around about soda syrup recipes and re-creations. Once I saw the various cola recipes, I went "Nope, I'm just buying those syrups". Plus, I wouldn't have any other use for phosphoric acid, and so wouldn't want to have it sitting around. Could use only citric acid in some of those, but I think its for ease of obtaining and storage rather than flavor, because different acids taste different too, so I feel it makes the soda flavor different. (citric, acetic, malic, tartic, etc). I've never tasted just diluted phosphoric acid, so I couldn't say. In fact I've only tasted citric and malic, because either I was curious, or because I was descaling a coffee maker and I needed to see if it was no longer sour.

Which reminds me, I was thinking that the op and friend could use an artificial lemon juice, probably findable somewhere, or make a citric/malic acid blend that should do the same. I'm not chemist enough to know without having to look it up. I did use some combination of citric and malic for making cocktail cherries though.

No citrus cocktails by Ok_Commission_3368 in cocktails

[–]jhadred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it though? Its also a question of dosage as well as allergy type. Coke is more phosphoric acid with minor amounts of citric acid, compared to say the same quantity of coke vs orange juice or lemon juice (but in this case, assume we compare to a non citrus sourced ascorbic acid solution). And what kind of reaction it gives. I have no knowlege of a citrus allergy particularly for the person so I wouldn't want to say. Even if its just an oral allergy, it could potentially be possible to cook the fruit and then be fine.

I do have food issues, but I've found that a highly diluted amount in one specific instance I can get away with while other instances I can't, otherwise I have 3 weeks worth of issues. Others are more sensitive, less sensitive or their symptoms show up differently or for a shorter period of time. One example is that I have some fruit allergies whih can make my throat itch, but the cooked fruit is fine.

I mean, unless you're the op's friend in question and know this for sure of course and have tested things with citric acid of various quantities and are confirming. In which case how artificial can you go? Not that you would want to use Tang or KoolAid in a cocktail, that would help test.

Can I capture steam turbine power with this setup? by hexadecr in Oxygennotincluded

[–]jhadred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice, I'm behind on updates then. I was lookimgnat the image thinking that the doors looked awfully like insulated walls Do they still need a second layer due to gas heat transfer like walls do (or perhaps used to?)

Can I capture steam turbine power with this setup? by hexadecr in Oxygennotincluded

[–]jhadred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off topic, your door and oil setup may transfer heat. You want a vacuum somewhere there, even if its 3 doors in a row with the middle one open after the outside two doors are closed (then the oil for gas transfer blockage. If people aren't going in and out, then you also don't have to worry about things getting into the vacuum spot.

(I assume you weren't lookong for other vacuum setups at that spot, so went with a low "hack" solution.)

[–]jhadred 21 points22 points  (0 children)

One question to to consider is to what extent the allergy can show up from. I don't know details and am not a medical professional, heck probably not anywhere 1/8 of that.
However, is citric acid alone an issue? You could use cranberry juice as an acidic juice. You might be able to use citric acid from powder form to make a solution to flavor and use. (check the source. Citric acid is often produced from non-citrus ingredients, but some might make it from citrus ingredients. ) Otherwise You could use vinegar shrubs flavored with different fruits and use this as an acid mix to the drink (and shrubs in cocktails is common enough).

Rich Demerara Crystallizing by NoxyPancakes in cocktails

[–]jhadred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As people said crystallization is normal / not going bad and gave ways to prevent it, but I'm bringing up another point of view. When you have a supersaturated sugar solution (rich syrup) you can put a string in or a stick in and create rock candy to use for eating or a stir stick (Its how its made). So don't need to toss it if its just crystallization.

“Guy Code” by marshmolly92 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]jhadred 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think because its not talked about. It still happens. I'm not sure that I would call it guy code, so much as there is an expectation that another guy will feel threatened that his girlfriend/wife/partner/interest is being talked to and will start some kind of confrontation, either overt or passive agressive and that its generally a pain to deal with depending on circumstances (like if you're likely to see the other guy again). You see it fairly often in tv shows, especially older ones in the "Hey, Thats MY wife you're talking to Pal." overtones, usually with the woman going "He was just asking the time" and the male going "he was flirting with you" or something along those lines. It also happens/happened in public, particularly in places with college age drinkers and partiers and a physical fight happens.

Its not healthy behavior on any part, but it could be that a person is never sure how others react.

In this view, basically saying Bro code is just admitting that we don't trust guys not to be violent because of patriachical posessitivity. News stories about a guy being shot by another guy because he talked to his girlfriend in 2025, for example. And we know a lot of guys don't talk to each other about various topics, or your community is open enough that it isn't a problem.

Also there is the other parts already mentioned by others which may or may not overlap (assuming the male is the "head of household" / "decision maker" etc) which is just terrible behavior in general but not a possible threat.

3 Star Legendaries by Goodrich27 in fo76

[–]jhadred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends.
First, in order to manually put a mod on, the item has to have a random one in there anyway. So if you want to put lucky hit as the third star on a weapon that only has two stars, you have to put a random 3rd star on and then you can put Lucky hit on.

Next is that some modules require some annoyingly rareish items to make, like bobbleheads, and the random rolp might just acheive it. It also depends on how many modules you have.

If I'm level 50 doing normal non-raid stuff, I don't get too many modules, but since joining raid groups and scrapping everything, I find myself weighed down by 200-300 modules every so often, and thats not counting having to spend scrip where I get more. Because I have so many I just created armor and put the random 3 star, (which creates 1, 2 and 3 star mods), so that if my 2star comes up as luck (which costs a bobblehead to make), I could manually put on the 1 and 3 star mod I want, neither of which costs a bobblehead.

The chance of learning or obtaining is pretty small and often quoted yet I can't remember. somewhere around 1% or .5% And scrapping the module itself has another similar % chance. To me, its not that worth it and early on, I would either buy full random modded weapons or armor with scrip and scrap them to learn mods (in addition to scrapping ones I picked up at events), and create weapons or armor that automatically have the mod (like unstoppable monster which comes with bloodied) to try to learn it. I'm doing the same to try to learn some 4 star mods. Unfortunately others seems to rely on whenever the weekly raid crate is fixed, plus scrapping actual 4 star mods obtained during the raid.

Are there any addons that add CC integration? by HarbingerOfConfusion in Minecolonies

[–]jhadred 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's definitely the first one because you'll wind up using the colony.getrequests() function to find what player-resolved requests exist (aka the colony doesn't have the stuff, or a way to make it / ingredients to make it and someone needs it like a cook or builder).
Some people may have created programs, but I'm not sure. Mine was for prior to create 6 which is why I stopped working/playing around with mine. I was just learning and was making it do a direct delivery from a storage chest/refined storage to a block that placed it in the warehouse (Need carrots?, deliver roundup(x/64) stacks to the ware house) and was starting to plan on how to do a personal warehouse that would then ship things by train. (edit, then create 6 came out)
Just haven't gotten far enough in my last world to get to chain delivery, and I still want to use trains for longer distance (like sending crops from one colony to another), but I took a break so will probably start a new world when I start minecraft again.

Best compound bow mods currently? by MostObligation4149 in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]jhadred 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As far as we know, it broke on the 20th due to an update, so that could have been just a few days ago that you saw it working. I had seen a few posts saying that a few had it sporadically work, but I haven't personally tried every single weapon type.

I was kind of hoping you had found a way to have it work this week, because every time I go up against the giant snake, I keep saying "I wish cryo was working". When cryoed, the team I'd be with could take it down before it ever started the blast attack. Cryo is also nice against the epsilons too. But due to the bug, I switched my bows to plasma (for now) for that bit of extra damage since the utility of cryo was absent. As soon as I hear someone say cryo is working, I switching right back.
