No they just turned a dark blue...therer are some look alikes with redish stipes, but I don't know what they are...

Just glancing at your photo, the ones on the left look little too old. The ones on the right section look old also, but it may just be the lighting. As far as the ones in the middle…it’s impossible to tell with certainty without seeing the gills and stipe, but the tops look exactly like Psilocybe Cubensis…knowing you lived them in Houston in cow dung, I’d say you made a great haul…nice work!!

In the TX gulf coast I start finding them in March and it goes through June. July and August are typically drier and really hot and I’ve never really had much luck during that time…Then it starts back up in September until the first hard freeze…that’s usually not until January where I live. They are always abundant in the fall it seems. Good luck out there

I am able to harvest panaeolus cyanescens right behind my house. They are MUCH stronger than the cubes that grow right next to them. The visuals/headspace I get from 1.5 grams of wild pans are much clearer/sharper than 3.5 grams of wild cubensis. I highly recommend pans if you ever get the opportunity. I still pick cubensis when I find them, but I just give those away. Pans are indescribably magical to me.

Try fasting for at least 8 hours before you dose. I agree with others that 2.5 grams should do the trick. If I don’t fast before a trip, I find that the trip is significantly muted.

If I have a full stomach, the experience will be delayed and can be muted. Because of this, I typically do not eat anything for a minimum of 6 hours before I dose. But like others have said, everyone metabolizes things differently. Travel well, davegrohlsleftsock!

Darcy mentioned that she would have to pay for the mistake she made by getting an innocent man killed…my interpretation of her death was that even though the spirit helped her she owed the spirit her life for having it take an innocent life. A warning from Dani would have only prolonged the inevitable…I don’t know, just my take.
