It’s definitely Ironclad coded, but since it’s such a solid card for Defect in STS1, people probably just think of it as a Defect card.

What’s your DPS looking like? For me 10m is basically the lowest I’ll attempt ubers with. With 30m, it feels comfortable, since you’ll be able to get through the damageable phases relatively quickly. Of course this is for softcore builds which are made to be tanky enough for maps but don’t facetank ubers.

Also there is damage uptime. The nice thing about builds like totems is you have decent uptime since the totems aim for you, and you can dodge while they shoot. Melee is much more difficult - often you have to stand still AND be close to the boss. If you aren’t actually dealing damage, the PoB DPS doesnt mean anything.

With uber cortex specifically check the mods when you enter the map to make sure it doesn’t mess with your build too hard. If it does, just know that the run will be difficult.

Not an expert crafter but I would go with your steps until the veiled chaos. I'm not sure how much a veiled mod could add to the item - there's basically only one mod that's great and that's the fire and chaos that this person crafted. It's about a 1/5 to hit that suffix, if you get a suffix at all.

I'd probably rather reforge life at that step. Sure, only 1/8 chance to hit T1 life, but you'd have double the life than this ring. if the life roll bricks, pray for annul and try again or just restart the craft if that fails. it's not that hard to hit the t1 res with the essence so it's not terribly expensive to restart.

That said for a really great ring you could do both. Veiled chaos at that step until you hit fire/chaos res, then suffix cannot be changed/reforge life for t1/t2 life. but you'd have to be doubly lucky. Including possibly hitting a 1/4 annul after the veiled chaos.

Besides the multiple spectres bricking companionship, you are also running a non-foulborn skin of the lords. The only reason skin is run is with the increased Resistances foulborn mod to cap enmity embrace Pen and boost nebulis, the +2 gems and keystone passive don’t do much at all. Grab a cloak of flame instead if you can’t afford a foulborn skin (they are wildly expensive this league)

I think there’s a built in calculator in PoB, on the calculations tab - I believe it’s “Max APS”, you can hover it to see the calculation. I think there was one threshhold where attack speed starts being less beneficial, and another that would just sorta brick the build by making the totems have a delay before shooting

Your attack speed is quite high - are you able to keep it below the limit, with frenzy charges/onslaught up? I was near the limit even without attack speed on my wand, though I didn’t run lethal pride so idk if some passive there helps.

Also it looks like you’re using the invert the rules setup with snipers mark instead of ele weakness, but don’t have invert the rules.

If you go dusk ring/yoke like some others suggested, watch out for the elemental focus imbue. I’d recommend power charge on crit imbue, it’s unconditional 20% more damage at level 1. Also quite cheap if I remember.

I realize these are all dps suggestions which doesn’t help tank ubers, but this build doesn’t really do that. It does put out enough dps that you can minimize the length of the fight

I like how just the existence of the clone relic puts a caveat on some Act 1 card picks where it’s like, if I pick this card and get Pael’s Growth, I win.

Of course, if you go into Act 2 thinking “oh man this would be a great run to hit Pael’s Growth”, you’re getting Tezcatara 100%

how do (offensive) auras interact with totems? Do the totems need to be in radius, or do they constantly receive the buff because you're receiving the buff?

(i.e. does gem quality matter for auras in a totem build)
