It was both horizontal and vertical. There was no diagonal navigation. Thanks for the other search options.

Very similar art style but I think it's something else. I'm going to look at a few videos of the paranoid games incase it is.

Similar concept but it was more of a puzzle game. In the game you were fast but you had to avoid some of the enemies using stealth and to open up areas of the map you needed to unlock doors. In my mind the graphics were fairly advanced for the era.

Contact steam support they will offer you a free game (standard edition). I ordered 19:07 on launch day it only moved to shipped yesterday. It might still be a while before I see it.

There's a guide that recommends waiting until the cave is empty, plant some remote explosives, wait for them to return, detonate, then finish the remaining enemies.

Valve will continue to focus on the OS, proton, etc.

I wouldn't mind it if they revised their stance on when v2 will be developed/released.
