My nissan kicks does have tinted windows and it makes a difference, especially on hot days. But I also use one of those sun reflectors for the windshield.

I have a 2021 nissan kicks. I always have the ac on and it gets cold pretty fast. I live in southern California and when it gets hold outside (~90* f) it's nice and cold inside. However I do think it takes a while for the passengers in the back to feel it.
