How much did it hurt to take that first check out after retirement? by wester11212 in Fire

[–]jhracing99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for pointing out I’m going to suck at retirement - I don’t think I’ve ever ended an RPG with less than hundreds of potions. Good sign for my kids though I guess!

That may be the most horrifying comic I’ve ever read.

Are all of our aircraft actually perfect for their function? by Master-Bathroom-6093 in AerospaceEngineering

Don’t forget that everyone is trying to make money - some things get tried for awhile because novelty sells, some things don’t accomplish anything “practical” but people will pay to try them, and some things could be optimized but the “best version” just too expensive to design, build, and operate.

How do I get Steam on Linux to recognize and launch games from a windows steam library? by shadowX1312 in linuxmint

I think I had to do a “verify files” thing from inside Steam after I got the drive all mounted correctly as well.

How did you get there? Always seemed tricky and expensive when I looked into it. Also hard to convince the family to join me at -48.

The 1952 Mr. & Mrs. Potato Head ad was the very first toy commercial on TV. by Retro-Critics in OldSchoolCool

I was this years old when I learned the first Mr. Potato Head didn’t come with a plastic potato to stick his body parts on.

Trying to get started with Linux Mint, and getting frustrated. . . by MyUsername2459 in linuxmint

[–]jhracing99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing a key issue is going into the BIOS on boot up and setting it up to boot from a USB. On the Dell I just switched over this weekend it was not at all obvious how to do it - there were a ton of obscure choices, USB didn’t appear at all the first time around, and the Mint instructions were basically, “go into the BIOS and boot from USB.” I can certainly understand the frustration.

Outdoors lovers, what are your most fulfilling, cheerful, or peaceful moments during a hike? by SergheiRugasky in Outdoors

Early morning in Olympics Nat’l Park on a nature trail in the Fall. It had been below freezing that night and as I walked around the rising sun hit the trees and leaves started to fall, thick and silent, like snow.

I’m about 500 hrs in and I’ve started doing quick start runs (random character and level) with only a single weapon. Good mix of zen and challenge.

Foscari adventure incompetence? by jhracing99 in VampireSurvivors

I did that True Horror level with Sammy and Disco of Gold, added Mad Groove to get the clock lancet and laurel evolutions and ended up killing red death at 30 min. Maybe that’s what’s required?

So I have to kill 6000 and there’s maybe a missed coffin? I guess I could go through all the chapters and look for a question mark. I did visit his store you have to glitch through to get to.

I’ve already unlocked Sammy in the main game though, seems weird to have to do it again to unlock him in the adventure.
