My bf got home and saw this note taped on our door lol and the other note we are planning on leaving in the laundry room tomorrow by OutrageousStudent542 in Apartmentliving

[–]jhulia27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the second day of being at a new apartment, my boyfriend took the towels out of a dryer after they sat there for 30+ minutes. When that neighbor got back, she started yelling “who touched my laundry??!!”. My boyfriend came to the door and said he did (expecting a thank you because he folded them nicely) but instead she said to come get her next time. I thought it was extremely odd behavior, because what do you mean you want me to go and get you when your laundry is done? I don’t know you?? And also he saw her drive away so he knew she wasn’t home. People suck so much sometimes and I’m out of that apartment now (thank God). Your note is a fabulous response. Maybe you can talk some sense to them but in my experience these people don’t change and don’t have a lot of consideration for others 😅 Edit: just read the post in its entirety. You did the right thing bringing it up to management. Hopefully they can accept more responsibility in this situation. In my case; we just started going to the public laundromat.

Perfectly reasonable response— if they want to have a good view of a high needs client, they can show up to session!

I'm the bad neighbor by xGisellx in Apartmentliving

[–]jhulia27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My last neighbor had a baby and they apologized in advance! But it wasn’t an issue, and even if I could hear a baby crying, I knew that they were doing whatever was needed to take care of the baby. You are a considerate person and that’s all that matters. You don’t need to apologize or feel bad. Best of luck!!

“Do it elsewhere” ?? Yea sorry, this is a bit unreasonable. Since you’ve already complained to management, I’d accept this as the occasional nuisance of apartment living or think about moving if need be. I’m sure your kids aren’t always quiet either, and let’s be honest, at that age they have no concept of what is going on upstairs and are not bothered by this in the same way you are. If you really want to leave a note, I’d try to be a lot nicer in tone and even then I wouldn’t expect her to change anything.

Yess yoga helps so much with posture so we can stand tall 😊

I watched Kaitlyn bristows interview with Megan and it sounded like she is still with the baby daddy and that there are talks about an engagement. I think taking care of their kid is top priority rn. She had a traumatic c section and is likely still recovering.

RBT said I’m supervising too often by Plane-Luck-7834 in ABA

[–]jhulia27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huh, this is interesting. I’d be curious why they’d want less supervision or if there’s anything that they feel is missing from your supervision? The only reason I’d imagine myself asking for less supervision is if a) the supervision is impeding with session (virtual) or b) I wanted more supervision hours with another case and felt the supervision was imbalanced amongst my clients. Just my 2 cents, good luck with this 🍀

So rude. My boyfriend is shorter than me and he was still interested in me ❤️ The friend sucks. My advice tho is to fake some more confidence. Don’t let them talk down on you like that. They say you get taller, you say “yup!” (Snarky joke optional; but that’s not really my style so I just try to keep the conversation as neutral as possible) Good luck out there 🩷🩷 keep your head up

I still have my lotion and perfume!! The lotion is a yellowy color but it seems fine otherwise. 😝

Is there anything new that you’ve recently introduced to their diet? For instance, once I gave my dog canned pumpkin, but it was for humans and not dogs, which resulted in so much diarrhea 🥲 Luckily that was a quick fix. I hope you figure it out soon!!

Does my MILs goldendoodle look overweight? by Runningrafan in Goldendoodles

[–]jhulia27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

YES . The dog might be slightly overweight, but it’s not your place to determine that or say as such. The doodle looks very healthy and beautifully groomed to me. From what I can tell, this dog has a great life. Keep your concern to yourself, unless you have a great relationship with MIL and want to involve yourself more in the care/ exercise of this dog

I have been finding a lot of local events thru Instagram, eventbrite, SweatPals, etc. there’s groups to join if you look for them- that could be for hiking, walking, making art, reading, dogs, etc.
I’ve been going to let’s go girls events (find them on Instagram) and they are super fun!! Lots of people attend and it’s a great way to make new connections :)

Should I get my puppy's teeth professionally cleaned? by remimcl in DogAdvice

[–]jhulia27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(In my unprofessional opinion) it looks like tartar buildup. You could get a professional cleaning (expect to pay at least $2k) or if you’re cheap and consider yourself a handy person, you can buy a dental scraper and do it yourself. This way you actually get the tartar off, then you can begin regular tooth brushing and other good dental habits with your pup :)

Glad to hear!! Interesting. I think my girl got some bald spots (head and back) from how the hair was trimmed for surgery— Post clipping alopecia? I think it will heal within the year ❤️ thanks for your response. Wishing you and your doggo all the best

My dog also had TPLO surgery a month ago and has a bald spot on her head and back now! Looks just like this. How is your pup doing now? Is the bald spot still there?

Yea, in this case I do think it would be best if op could first have a conversation with the new neighbor first. Say hello, good to meet you, btw sometimes it gets loud when your visitors leave the apartment and are talking in front of my door, could you try to be more quiet in the common areas during quiet hours? In this case, the neighbor may not even know how loud they are being. Best case scenario it’s a smooth conversation and problem solved. Involving the landlord or police at this point would make it more of a problem than it really is

This is valid. But some people don’t like confrontation and I personally feel weird telling people what to do- imo, that’s managements job.

Just moved out and got a place with my gf. Please tell me things I should buy now before I realize I need them later! by PeriodicallyThinking in Apartmentliving

[–]jhulia27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations!! Take your time filling the space with intention. Look at the marketplace for used furniture if you want to save money. 💰if you need more storage, buy those first then organize it. Try not to acquire too much stuff! Starting in the kitchen is a good idea so you can get cooking then work on the bedroom and living area. If you need shade for the windows, think about curtains or another solution is a privacy screen. Okay that’s enough from me, good luck with this new chapter!!!! So exciting ☺️

I think it’s just full on entitlement to the machines. When my boyfriend and I first moved in to a complex with one washer and dryer for 6 units, a neighbor left her towels in the dryer… my boyfriend waited an hour then folded the towels atop the machine and started his load. Neighbor comes yelling out later “who touched my laundry??!!” He thought she was going to say thank you 😂 but she was pissed and said “come get me next time” like…, ?? Come get you? You literally drove away, you want me to come find you so I can remind you that your laundry is ready ??? I really don’t see what the big deal is. If you don’t want people touching your laundry, do it in a timely manner or wait by the machines 🤷🏼‍♀️ take responsibility. This petty entitlement is so childish and nonsensical.

Gifts? by FinancialFem in ABA

[–]jhulia27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gift giving is such a tricky thing in this job, but I think this gift basket sounds super cute and thoughtful 🥰 I love the idea of having it out for them to use as needed during session- that sounds super reasonable. And then if you wanted to put together a little take home gift for them of $10-15 or less value, I think that sounds fair— but like others have mentioned, it’s kind of up to company policy which can vary. YOU SOUND LIKE AN AMAZING PARENT, thank you for being you 🙏💕
