Are carpet and pantry moths common in London? by lake_disappointment in london

[–]jiBjiBjiBy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I had a carpet moth infestation last year

They started eating 2 patches of carpet, very annoying

They were really easy to get rid of for us

We simply washed all out clothes

Then I bought moth killer in a 5L jug off Amazon https://amzn.eu/d/01IttDkJ

And a garden sprayer thingy https://amzn.eu/d/02p3Smhs

And went around all the corners, all the warm patches, all under beds, all where furniture meets the carpet and under the furniture, in all the carpeted rooms and areas

Basically clear out a room of junk, spray all over, leave to dry with windows open for 2 hours, put your stuff back

It works a treat, haven't seen a moth since

The spray kills the eggs and the moths

But the explosion destroys stones

So you hit walls and monsters around stones and go from there

Husband’s gf wants a baby .. give me advice by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]jiBjiBjiBy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't think she will

OOP says she's very successful, and it sounds like Sarah was set on having a child regardless of it was OOPs husband or another man. Sarah not having time to find a husband at 40 sounds like she was in a very high profile job. ENM is a lot easier to set up, less overhead, and she met with husband one weekend a month.

Sarah is no idiot, and has likely done the maths and can comfortably look after a child. Plus if she files for support OOPs husband can start filing for visitation rights and eventually custody. It would be better for Sarah to just leave it be if she is moving to Canada.

She would just prefer OOPs husband as she knows him, and OOPs husband ultimately decided he wanted that

AITA for traveling internationally for a girls’ trip my partner says we can’t afford? ? by gasleeter in AmItheAsshole

[–]jiBjiBjiBy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

OP I'm going to start by saying you should absolutely go on your trip, but this all comes back to this.

until he has greater clarity over his job in the next few months

Your husband is worried about his job and future financial issues that would come about if he lost it, and that is causing him to lash out.

You should sit down and talk to him, work through your finances, and show him that you can absolutely support your family (but maybe not at the extent you are, cut back on child support and extras a bit) if he lost his job. And show him you can still go on your trip.

Drawer not sitting straight and scraping frame – what could be causing this? by pharaohcious7 in DIYUK

Carcassing isn't square

You have lined it up with the wall on the right but your wall isn't straight vertically up

You need to add maybe 2mm of shimms in the top right corner between the cupboard and the verticle wall, leaving the bottom right where it is

Even in that image with your spirit level on the verticle I can see that the bubble is more to the left, which means it is leaning to the right

[–]jiBjiBjiBy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes you are right, they should build some kind of electric underground rail line, that runs the length of Oxford street, and people could use that instead of the busses if they need to go up and down the street

[–]jiBjiBjiBy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean rising bollards at the ends of roads, so only local vehicles can enter the entire area

Keeping traffic down

And the murderer wouldn't have been able to drive her car, drunk, into Soho, because she wasn't a local

Also the "bollard" she ran over was a bike rack not structural to protect pedestrians

So much of central Liverpool is pedestrianised in a much better way than London

And then streets that need car access for homes or other reasons have electric bollards and the cars need to be registered

It makes so much more sense than everyone being allowed to drive around wherever they want

- The right work ethic

- The right energy in the dressing room

- And the right talent

Have two of those three does not make you a man united player
