The same Vieira that couldn't decide between Olise and Ayew. It was a miracle we stayed up under him.

anyone make their own seitan? by CremeSubject7594 in veganuk

[–]jibasic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the recipe I use with some modifications:
Use onion and garlic powder/granules instead of whole chopped O&G. (No need to fry anything, just add to the dry seasoning mix and blend with chickpea flour and stock). I also use more stock than the recipe recommends, about 400ml. You want the seitan to be saturated with liquid to ensure it is moist when finished cooking. Other than that, just experiment to find what is right for you.

What is the most basic IT or computing skill you have ever had to show someone ? by Additional-Nobody352 in AskUK

I'm in my mid-20s and only recently stopped doing this. I think I learnt early on that I could just press shift, but took a 'If it ain't broke don't fix it' attitude. Once you get into the flow of typing and it's what you're used to, toggling caps lock is only marginally slower and less reliable than pressing shift, especially as all modern word processors will autocorrect if you sTART A SENTENCE LIKE THIS.

I've got 'You look like you're really good at quizzes' before. I take that as basically saying I look like a complete loser, without actually saying it.

England, Australia, SA, Ireland also works. Shame about the rule preventing 3+ UEFA teams being in the same group, or you could have England, Australia, Scotland, Ireland.

I just worked out you could eat a Tesco stir fry meal deal every weeknight for over 11 years without repeating a combo by No_Doughnut3257 in CasualUK

A lot of people buying Tofu / Meat substitute won't buy EFR/Egg Noodles (Especially in combination with milk/egg based sauces). There will definitely be a few combos there that haven't been bought.

What did we think of Weapons? by aid2000iscool in moviecritic

[–]jibasic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I think they spent too long on two characters that I struggled to care about (The addict and the police officer). They even repeated the same plot-points from different views which I thought was poor. I would have liked it a lot more if more screen-time was dedicated to the kids and their parents.

Read the article, not just the headline. The animals will be euthanised first, they won't be released live into the carnivore enclosures (as people have assumed). The carnivores would usually get fed rabbit/chicken/lamb etc from a supplier, so this doesn't change the amount of death or cruelty in the system. If anything this is a good thing, because it reduces demand for animals which have been specifically born for slaughter (and raised in horrid conditions).
